Can't believe CNN actually aired this verbal exchange... (Earthquake related)
03/13/2011

Posted on 03/13/2011 12:42:04 PM PDT by The Magical Mischief Tour

Earlier this AM CNN aired an exchange between a reporter stateside on the CNN set and a reporter in Japan.

The reporter in Japan was commenting on how calm and orderly everyone was while waiting in line at stores for water, food and gas.

He said that they had several full gas cans on their truck to get them where they were going and they felt comfortable leaving their vehicle unattended while going inside stores to buy food or to interview people.

He then compared it to his experiences during Katrina when their vehicle was completely looted of gas, food, water and even their personal gear and bags right under their noses.

He then said that the difference between the human response to the situation was almost night and day, the Japanese were very orderly and calm while the Katrina survivors were totally out of control.

I was amazed that CNN let him air such views. While completely truthful they show a side of our population we all know is there, but to speak of it, to even refer to it is viewed as racist...

Think also to the inauguration of Barack Obama, where everyone left every bit of their trash on the ground.

There is a part of America where people feel “owed.” They do not have any consideration of their fellow humans. They feel that someone will be there to provide or clean up after them. It’s not about what you achieve; it’s about what you can GET.

These are things you learn from your parents. I know that perhaps there is racial disparity in which Americans become this greedy and selfish, but it’s not straight down racial lines. There are considerate blacks and selfish, greedy whites.

Stopping creating these thuggish animals begins on day one. If there is an item in the bottom of the shopping cart that didn’t get paid for, you make sure your kids see you take it back into the store and pay for it. You make sure the kids know you NEVER drop ANYTHING on the ground that isn’t less intrusive than a watermelon seed. You save your garbage until you find a trashcan. Let them know that it’s rude to make cleaning people pick up your messes; make other people’s jobs easier rather than harder.

I think a lot of these kids see their parents dump their car trash into parking lots (we were late getting back to our car at Disneyland once and the emptied parking spaces were littered with food trash and USED DIAPERS!). Some of them grew up with known stolen items in their home - TVs, furniture. What can be learned from that? Yes, there are laws and rules -— for OTHER people. We just take what we can get.

In other news: DAYTON — The Dayton Police Department is lowering its testing standards for recruits.

It’s a move required by the U.S. Department of Justice http://abc.daytonsnewssource.com/shared/newsroom/top_stories/videos/wkef_vid_6103.shtml Under pressure from the U.S. Department of Justice–Eric Holder’s organization–Dayton, Ohio decreased the passing grade on their police exam, because the DOJ says not enough Americans of African descent passed. Reportedly, the DOJ has strong-armed “other police departments across the country,” in order to swell the public employee union ranks with grateful voters for 2012.

There is a great difference between the Japanese and the African-American & White Trash American.

That includes both lowlife looters (redistributing America's wealth before the government gets it) and voter bullying thugs protected by Holder and his boss.

Yea, I don’t remember having a big problem with Asian-Americans or European-Americans during our many natural disasters.

To quote the Leftists, I guess they can afford to have morals.

***I don’t think his point was that Japanese are more civilized than blacks. His point was that Japanese are more civilized than Americans.***

This is true. Remember when the hurricane hit Cancun not long after Katrina? American tourists DEMANDED that the US Army come and get them out-NOW!

This is why US citizen are armed. It appears in Japan, you don't need one; here
a mad, out of control crowd is probably the rule in any disaster.

Also the same problem in Wisconsin I agree it is the difference between an entitlement society and a self-reliant, family oriented population.

I spent some time in Japan working for Hitachi - they are wonderful people almost with out exception. I can't say that for my neighborhood...or city - Seattle.

Well said (#50). There is also the shikata ga nai ("it can't be helped") attitude in Japan where many don't dwell on misfortune in self-pity, but instead perservere.

Unlike America where there is (usually) an underlying Judeo-Christian sense of compassion for your fellow man, in Japan it is more of a tradition to simply act in an orderly manner and soldier on for the greater good, which in the old days was the surrounding community, as is the case now in more rural areas around Sendai.

In Japan you can leave your bag on a train and get it back. That is no joke. I watched a friend do it.

Step harder. Everyone saw the difference in behavior between the residents of New Orleans and the the people of San Diego county after the fires. The San Diegans didn’t moan and cry and loot. They stepped out and got busy.

Think also to the inauguration of Barack Obama, where everyone left every bit of their trash on the ground.

It's been two years and Obama has failed to leave an imprint as the great president/leader of "his people." Instead of addressed the heartland of America about civility, there are issues far greater he could, if he wanted, address. They are issues that affect America's cities and states and the people Eric Holder "says" are "his."

Society is paying a high price for "fatherless" children

Snips:

….According to the Pew Research Center (PRC), 72% of all black babies born in 2008 were out of wedlock.

….According to published reports, 63% of teen suicides come from fatherless homes, 90% of all runaways and homeless children come from fatherless homes, 80% of rapists come from fatherless homes, 85% of children with behavioral problems come from fatherless homes, 71% of all high school dropouts come from fatherless homes, 75% of all adolescent patients in chemical abuse centers come from fatherless homes, and 85% of all youths in prison come from fatherless homes.

They were referring to Pres. Bush’s failings, not the poor, helpless Katrina “victims”.

They forgot 100% of “Presidents” that come from fatherless homes have behavioral problems, narcicists, pathological liars and corrupt to the core. No family, ethical or moral or patriotic values.
