In Japan you can leave your bag on a train and get it back. That is no joke. I watched a friend do it.
Japanese , in general , are not as honest as they once were . I ought to know , I have lived here since 1985 . Ask my wife about the time she forgot her purse on a rest area bench for a couple of minutes and it was long gone when she got back .
