They admitted him. His remaining leg is not looking good. Three surgeons will confer tomorrow morning
on whether and when his right leg will be amputated.
When I talked to him this afternoon, he consented to me asking for prayers regarding this latest health issue.
Praying for you, Jim...
Oh, Amy, I wish you had pinged me earlier. I knew Jim was having some problems with his leg but I did not know that he was in the hospital.
Thanks for the update. I will keep both Jim and Sheila in prayer. Please keep me on your update ping list.
Great news.
We’ll keep praying for good results.
Absolutely delighted that you have a wound specialist — who uses that wonderful tried and true bee honey, to see if all its positives will work on you! Surgeons have their place, of course, but they like to operate! I’m happy that you will have a chance to give this a try. Prayers that your blood count will behave and that you have more meals to enjoy! And great that at least ONE hospital has good food!
We love you Jim. Hang in there!
Hi, not. If you go to see him, please give him our best and tell him we are keeping him in prayer.
Oh dear—have been out all evening and I’m just now seeing this....I always pray for JimRob every night, but will redouble my efforts now.
I like that wound specialist. It sounds like she is willing to work hard to make good things happen. ...Just my gut feeling from your post.
Best of luck, and prayers up.
Go with God and the honey bee, Jim. We’re all thinking about you and hoping for the best.
Thanks, Lori.
I think I pinged you at #24. I used my ping list from three years ago. You and JKPhoto are both on my master list. I added a few more names last night and today.
I was surprised when he called me from the hospital last night.
Oh, I am so sorry! You DID ping me, I see that now, and I completely missed it! I couldn’t believe that you wouldn’t ping me, and of course you did. Sorry. Now I am wondering what else I am missing. :-(
Anyway, if Jim is still in the hospital this weekend, JK and I might be able to make a trip up to see him.
Thanks again for keeping us all informed. Give him our best when you talk to him. Hugs!

Almighty God, source of human knowledge and skill:
Guide physicians and nurses and all those
you have called to practice the arts of healing.
Strengthen them by your life-giving Spirit, that,
by their ministries,
the health of all people may be promoted
and your creation glorified,
Blessed Lord,
we ask your loving care and protection for those who are sick
in body, mind, or spirit and who desire our prayers.
Take from them all fears and help them put their trust in you,
that they may feel your strong arms around them.
Touch them with your renewing love,
that they may know wholeness in you and glorify your name,
through Jesus Christ our Lord,
who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God,
now and for ever.
God Bless you. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.
He’ll be happy to see you. If you go, there is a lot of construction at the entrance. A temporary entrance is to the east of the original. We walked west first ... nothing wrong with us. :)
The nurse had us put on a latex(?) covering over our clothes. I asked why; Jim said it was because they have not identified his infection. I decided that if it was something contagious, it was too late. LOL
Amen!
Our Lady, Health of the Sick, pray for Jim.
Prayers continue
God bless you for that strong witness Jim, and may He be with you and yours through all of this. Our prayers and faith certainly shall be.
You are an amazing man who has made a real difference for our country. My wife and I and our friends will be praying for your speedy recovery.
