CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) -- U.S. Sen. Harry Reid took aim at the world's oldest profession Tuesday, telling state lawmakers the time has come to have an adult conversation about Nevada's legal sex trade if the state hopes to succeed in the 21st century.
The Democratic Senate majority leader's comments before a joint session of the Legislature came as owners, lobbyists and working girls for Nevada's brothel industry looked on from the gallery.

Maybe the mob thinks the illegal sex trade will be more lucrative and easier to control. The bribes required will probably amount to less than the current taxes and “inspection” requirements.
If Reid wants to ban brothels, let him begin by closing down the Senate.

Apparently the brothel owners didn’t contribute enough money to harry’s campaign, or else the mob (Harry’s real boss) wants the competition eliminated.
Gee Harry, we need to ban the biggest brothel in the nation which is the US Senate. And you crazy Harry, are the brothel’s proprietor.

Hmmm. A bit early to shore up the Mormon vote. Perhaps some kickbacks got reduced due to the poor economy? Reid is economically illiterate and can’t see the relationship between poor tourism numbers and reduced brothel profits. Like any mob boss he expects the same payment each week no matter what the situation is in the real world.
Harry may close the brothels, but he’ll have to keep the guest ranches open. I’m sure he as to pay for it.

Since everything Dems touch these days turns to shinola, I’d say try the opposite.
I recommend some bright young Nevada state legislator introduce a bill making prostitution legal in all counties.
