The Police Department issues a separate license for long guns: about 52,000 shotguns and rifles are registered, but the owners’ names and addresses are not public records.

I have no doubt that, just like Gannett did in the '70's, the Slimes would have printed the addresses had they been made available.

THIS IS WHY A GUN PERMIT PROCESS IS UNCONSTITUTIONAL.

Equal protection under Amendment 14. The 2nd Amendment right is upheld for Alexis Stewart and others in a very small segment of the population but not for every other citizen of New York.

The permitting process allows the government sole disgression to deprive citizens of 2nd Amendment rights without a trial by jury.
