Mubarak has stepped down, per a short statement from Vice President Suleiman. Crowds going wild in the streets.

How long until Obama takes credit for this???

I do not see marxist posters or flags with the people celebrating their liberation.

You are naive. At best.

I am sorry manc, I am not trying to ignore you or not answer you. I don’t agree with your fears, at least not to the extant that you would like. I am watching the people celebrating right now in Egypt...it appears to be secular, there are no marxist flags or posters...just Egyptian flags and joy. They are not chanting Allah, they are chanting Goodbye, goodbye.

I agree I’m just stunned that we have so many in this country who have no clue about what the real deal is over there and keep saying freedom at least.

i guess you hear this playing in Tahir square. i don't. nor do most people who are knowledeable about the region. after the orgasmic displays in the square are over, someone has to do the hard work of governing. Who's prepared to do that? an organized secular democratic party/force? name one. There aren't any.

How many decades have the people of the Middle East lived under tyranny? They have been patient...but now it is time to throw off the chains of tyranny. You know who else is quaking in their sandals? The government in Iran...don’t kid yourself, this is scaring the hell out of them. Their people are very close to overthrowing their government...this could be the straw that breaks the camels back...

It’s not going to turn out well for the Egyptions.

Isaiah 19:4 And the Egyptians will I give over into the hand of a cruel lord; and a fierce king shall rule over them, saith the Lord, the LORD of hosts.

Problem-reaction-solution. The radical socialist/communists have been using this tactic for generations, and the unlearned masses have fallen for it every time. The only way to defeat it is to NOT panic and react without thinking. They need chaos to survive. No chaos, no crises, no radical solution.
The Egyptians need to slow down and THINK rather than react, but the radicals are pushing them to jump and jump now.

This is why the democrats had to pass all the take overs and spending bills without even reading them. It was "an emergency." No one had time to think about what was going on. If they'd had time to think or read the bills, things would be much different today. Reason would have prevailed.

Does it disquiet you at all that Obama and his administration largely share your reaction? i don’t know about you, but whenever i find myself on the same side of an issue as Obama, i step back and rethink that i might have wrong.

Maybe you should learn to discern facts rather than just blindly following fear...

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2672217/posts

Iran is trying it’s best to cut off news from Egypt because it knows that will inspire their own people to revolt against their tyranny as well!

What they're getting is worse. They're getting radical Sharia.
Are you saying Islam is freedom? This is better?
These people have no idea what freedom is. If they were being lead by a free people, that would be great, but they're not. Radicals are moving the herds. These people don't have a chance of freedom. Iraq still has a chance, but the rest of the sheep are being prepared for the feast.

LOL, yes to be honest...but, once in office Obama got to learn (first hand) President Bush’s strategy for the Middle East and appears to have accepted it, including this liberation of Egypt. Remember, Islamic fanatics are the enemy of communists as well...

From The Telegraph (UK):

"Hosni Mubarak resigns: Mahmoud Ahmadinejad hails 'a new Middle East' Iran's president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Friday claimed the uprising in Egypt and removal of Hosni Mubarak heralded a new Middle East without the "satanic" influence of the West and that will doom Israel."

Still feeling hopeful?
