(CNN) -- Sarah Palin is mixing it up with potential rival Rick Santorum, suggesting the former Pennsylvania senator and presidential hopeful is a knuckle-dragging Neanderthal.

This is that damaging hoax again I believe. If it is then we must get the word out to all FReepers, and everybody we know that there is this hoax going about. It’s damaging to let this go without addressing the consequences of repeating it.
I saw the exchange, and Sarah specifically said she was not going to call Rick a ‘knuckle-dragging Neanderthal’. She was going to let his wife call him that! After seeing what Santorum said, I would agree that someone should let him know that he was behaving like a ‘knuckle-dragging Neanderthal’.
I heard it. van Susteren asked her to comment on Santorum’s remark about her declining the keynote speakership at CPAC. She said she wasn’t going to call him a knuckle dragging Neanderthal, that she was just going to leave it to Mrs. Santorum to do it. van Susteren then played the clip where Santorum acquitted himself, didn’t say anything really offensive, but simply said that she must have many demands on her time, financially remunerative engagements. She said that perhaps the press was making too much of it, almost her comment back. Then, van Susteren said that she was surprised to learn after hearing him say that Palin ‘had all those kids’ that he has 7 himself. Palin didn’t look thrilled.
Yeah, but in NOT calling him a knuckledragging neanderthal, she REALLY did. Wink, wink...
She said it on Hannity last night. Okay, she qualified it by adding some cute little remark that she wuldn’t use those words but let his wife do so. But his wife didn’t script those words, she did. In effect se was calling him precisely that.
I thought it was funny. Santorum is a far cry from the guy he was when he was first elected in a conservative wave. It was deserved.
Rick also has a lot of children, one of which is a special-needs child. He’s VERY family oriented. He often takes a child with him when he travels. Like Sarah, his children run from college age to a toddler. I’m sure Rick would NEVER knock Sarah for being a mom with responsibilities.
He tries to come across as the school principal at times and he is a bit narky in his own right, almost downright full of himself and his education and Senate experience. A bit lowball yes, living rent free in his head as well, priceless, she has his number and it might be 1-800-RNC-RINO....
Sorry, it was Palin that jumped to a conclusion that was not warranted. Poor judgment here.
I think she would be more likely to say something like “saving money a GEICO is so easy a Santorum could do it”
I’m not Santorum’s biggest fan, but he has proven to be quite adept at making enough noise to get headlines. If Duncan Hunter had that ability, he might have been able to make some waves in 08. The way Santorum is going at the moment, I’d pick him to be the one that does something at Ames to put himself above the other 2nd tier candidates like Huckabee did in 08.
She sure proved that on Super Bowl Sunday.
Sarah Palin’s BIRTHDAY IS TOMORROW....FEB. 11th!!!
