Nobody talks on al Jazeera, al Arabiya, BBC, CNN, etc. etc. about the other protestors ,so called democracy protesters, who
they themselves are VIOLENTLY throwing rocks.Just now, on the front lines of the anti Mubarak forces, I saw a guy in flowing Islamic robe, islamic prayer cap, and long, Sunni type (Wahabbi type) scraggly beared, a definite islamist at first glance, ferociously tossing rocks at the Mubarak forces.
I think Islamist forces are also getting more and more involved in this, and keep in mind, whomever is the "friend" of BBC and CNN, must necessarily be an enemy of America and Israel. As much as Mubarak disgusts me, and these earlier thugs rushing through on camel and horseback whipping the crap out of peaceful opponent demonstrators.

any idiot thinking the media is telling the truth needs to wake up.
The media and obama are trying as hard as they can to get the muslim brotherhood into power and to get rid of our ally who has kept peace for decades.
These anti Govt rioters are the muslim brotherhood and I just hope as any other sane person would that these anti Govt people fail because if they do not then we’ll have another Iran Govt.

This is why the news media's gutting of their foreign news bureaus has really come back to haunt them. For instance: an experienced ME reporter, hopefully fluent in Arabic, could wander through the demonstrators and pick up some clues. What languages and dialects were being spoken? How about foreign accents? He might be able to tell if the majority of the protesters he came across were Cairene, Egyptian, or from somewhere else. I think that would be handy info to have when trying to sort this all out. Brian Williams, for instance, would be totally useless in this department. That guy gets paid megabucks and the foreign bureaus get gutted.

Am hearing on Fox News now that the Cairo Museum (where King Tut’s artifacts are on display) is on fire at this time.

That point is irrelevant. There are 1.7 Million middle class Egyptians who are living large off Mubarak. If he goes, their gravy train goes with him. I imagine the new government will even the score with those secular money scrubbing hogs.
This is probably the group who we are seeing in the streets. (trust)

As usual, all the really juicy bits will not be furnished by American outlets (with the possible exception of Fox) but by British and other foreign sources without dogs in the Obama fight.

The BBC is way more on top of this story than the US media. Watch BBC America news you will get a whole different angle.

That point is irrelevant.FWIW, I think if there are outta-towners stirring the pot, that's of interest. And if it ain't, it darn well should be.

To do what — issue a joint kumbaya statement that it wouldn’t have mattered a whit which one had won the 2008 election? That’s our boy John.

That's very true....
There is likely some PLO, Hezbollah, Iranian and Al Qaida operatives mixed in with them. The MB is massive and far more entrenched in their society than many realize. They are surely supporting and rallying the locals in this fight.

On October 4, 1986, as Dan Rather was walking along Park Avenue in Manhattan to his apartment, he was attacked and punched from behind by a man who demanded to know, "Kenneth, what is the frequency?", while a second assailant also chased and beat him."What's the frequency, Kenneth?" has been part of FR lore for more than a decade.

Obama cut Mubarak's legs out from under him. What the hell did Obama think Mubarak would do after a tenuous, yet mutally-beneficial, 30-year relationship with the US was thrown away by the words of an incompetent and inexperienced egomaniac?
How in the world could the Obama administration not be prepared for this? Did Obama really think that telling a quasi-ally (at least as close to one as we'll find in that region who is a Muslim) that his meal ticket was abandoning him, and then publicly siding with the protesters (whoever they are), was a “cordial” conversation.
I'm almost at a loss for words here.
