It maybe futile to try to get these swing state senators to vote the will of the people, but the campaign ads that will be run against them in 2012 will not be futile.

They’re politicians, that means they can be influenced. It’s worth the phone call.

Sen. Jim DeMint sent me an email earlier stating the same thing. He even provided a link to his PAC that lists all Senators' #'s and where they stood (on the repeal vote) at press time.
When I called Sen. Webb's office they genuinely seemed to take notice.

There is no such thing as a moderate Democratic Senator. Contacting these idiots is a futile exercise. That's the fighting spirit we're looking for!

There is no such thng as a moderate Democratic Senator. Contacting these idiots is a futile exercise. Agreed. They knew 70% of us were against it the first time around. They do not fear the American citizen. Until they do, we remain serfs.
Where does that leave us?

Disagree. We set the tone for the important 2012 Senate races now. We need to keep pressing forward as the Tea Party movement, including like this.

Contacting these idiots is a futile exercise. With that attitude nothing would ever get accomplished.

After a distinguished career in the military and republican administrations, James Webb has fallen far. He is an Obamacare supporter, which means he is a political coward.
Sad.
