DEVELOPING: Loud explosions and gunfire were heard in the Egyptian capital of Cairo Friday, as protesters demanding the removal of President Hosni Mubarak defied a curfew, Al Jazeera reported. Egyptian television reports the ruling party headquarters in Cairo are on fire.

What do you think Putin and Hu are thinking taking the measure of Obama?
I'm thinking that Hu is starting to see that with a couple of PLA divisions he could buy the permanent allegiance of Saudi Arabia. The Mullahs may think they can intimidate Obama and the US with weight of numbers. But China, given someplace to land their troops they would roll over the ME like a steam roller over a cricket. And the Chinese don't play nice like we do. Just ask the people in Tibet.
When the US refused to back England and France in taking down Nasser back in the 50s it didn't take the Soviet Union a week to move into the former British colonies in the Middle East. Well now once the US pull or is driven out watch for China to move in. They are in full empire building mode, and the desperately need access to Middle East oil.
