Thanks. Good possibility. From your link:

4- What is your relationship to the National Association for change-Egypt?

Like many Egyptians, we support the NAC’s call for change and adopt the 7 points it has presented for reform. We don’t report to the NAC, but our members are in constant communication with the members of NAC to coordinate and synchronize our positions in the face of the challenges we meet.

5- Are you financially supporting the National Association for Change?
No!

6- Do you belong to or support any political parties?
No!
The Egyptian Association for Change is a non-partisan, non-sectarian and non-ethnic organization. Any Egyptian that adopts the Association’s call for change has the right to become a member.

7- Are you supported by the American government?
No!
The association was formed by a group of Egyptians and Egyptian Americans living in the USA. The American government is not in any way involved with our group. Any member’s relationship with the American government or any foreign government is strictly done outside of the mandate of the Association and doesn’t represent its official position.

8- Are you going to lobby the American government to press for change in Egypt?
No!

9- What is the structure of the Association?
The Association’s main chapter is in Washington DC. As of today, we have other chapters in NY/NJ, Massachusetts, North Carolina, California and Michigan. All the chapters work together to ensure their activities and positions are well coordinated.

Elbaradei forms the “National Association for Change”
Posted on February 24, 2010 by Mohamed| 2 Comments

Hours ago, former IAEA chief Mohamed ElBaradei has announced the formation of the “National Association for Change” with aim of ” constitutional and political reform to achieve social justice and democracy “.

Many notable Egyptian politicians and activists attended the meeting at Elbaradei’s house today. Among them was Ayman Nour ElGhad Party leader who previously invited Elbaradei to form a consitutional convention.

“]

Expectations are high for a strong coalition to bring change in Egypt.

Other attendants included Muslims Brotherhood parliamentary group leader Saad El-Katatny....

In recent months, an independent popular campaign was launched online to support Elbaradei as a presidential candidate in 2011. After intense reaction from the opposition newspapers, the campaign gained strong ground among Egypt’s younger generation.

Currently the Facebook group for the campaign has reached more than 100,000 members, with a 10 thousand member increase in one day after Elbaradei had a live tv appearance discussing his presidential bid.

Remember, though, that Obama and the US stayed silent on the Iranian protests because they didn’t want to “meddle” in an Iranian issue. Now, I happen to believe that Obama wants more Islamic governments, and not less, since it’s much easier to control the population under those regimes. Plus, Obama still believed that he could “talk” with the mullahs, or at least that was the thought at the time.

If Obama was sincere about real change in that part of the world, he would have fully supported the Iranian protestors. Instead, he stayed silent, and their blood is on his hands.

FoxNews just reported that Obama's Egypt Crisis Team met for 2 hours this morning at the White House while Obama and Michelle were at their daughter's basketball game.

Of the ten members of the team, the only ones I recognized were Biden, Daley, Clinton, and Panetta.

Amazing how life is full of all sorts of discordant elements, yet it all hangs together. Also I had thought you were four or five years younger.

One of my own brothers met the youngest Von Trapp at a “future leaders” high school music event in Vermont in the mid-seventies. In 1985 he was an officer serving on the USS Scott while it shadowed the hijacked cruise ship Achille Lauro in the Mediterranean Sea. It had been hijacked by the Palestinian Liberation Front.

Typical Obama, not even there for the meeting. If we had a real President he would be there at the meeting.

In my opinion, Obama acted out of fear and cowardice. He is a Godless, Secular Marxist/Fascist. There is not a spiritual molecule in his entire body. Therefore, he would never act out from a Moral perspective.

If the USA had stepped in and supported the “demonstrators”, Obama would have been forced to bring in the Military and take charge of the region. This is absolutely something that Obama could not even consider, as well as, something he would not have a clue about how to accomplish.

He took several months just to decide on how many additional troops to send in to Afghanistan. An established military campaign.

Not only would a real President be at the meeting, he would also be leading the meeting. Obama couldn't lead ants to a picnic.

” Typical Obama, not even there for the meeting. “

Can’t say I fault him for that - if I were faced with the prospect of being locked in a room with Biden, Daley, Clinton (which one?) and Panetta, for two hours, I think I’d probably find something - anything - else to do, too....

;)

People are people. There is no “modern reality” at wild variance from what an understanding of humans and human motives over history gains a person.

Not that I know of besides Flash. If you can run YouTube vids this should work. I also have DSL, not dial-up - 56K won’t carry the load. Network loads between you ant them can also clobber the start, which is needed to sync the stream.

Excellent and very intersetsing post, thanks! Think you hit on something:

For what it’s worth the DC Coordinator organizing todays events, Amin Mahmoud, was part of an open letter sent to O before the Egypt address:

And nobody envisioned Adolf Hitler incinerating/murdering over 11 Million people in the name of ethnic purity either. By looking at “human motives” and what the Koran demands from Islam, as well as the blind following it dictates, I greatly differ with your philosophy.

Interesting that the Opposition president started a campaign called the ‘National Association for Change’ in 2010.
