[history]
China's rapid growth is often painted as a threat to American interests. But President Obama said today that the country's economic progress benefits the United States and opens the door to greater international stability and humanitarian progress.
"We welcome China's rise," Mr. Obama said at a press conference at the White House with Chinese President Hu Jintao. "I absolutely believe that China's peaceful rise is good for the world, and it's good for America."

Well, any government that has killed 50,000,000 of it own citizens can’t be all that bad, right Barack?
This guy is brutally ignorant.

That's 50,000,000 before all the forced abortions and "Need a liver? We've got a political prisoner with
your name on him!" When I heard the following in Barry's toast to Hu Jintao, I just had to laugh at either the cluelessness or the cynicism:
I'm told that there is a Chinese proverb that says: If you want one year of prosperity, then grow grain. If you want 10 years of prosperity, then grow trees. But if you want 100 years of prosperity, then you grow people.

I agree with you. And that toast, perfectly frames the ignorance of this guy. Here he is toasting the hand-maiden of a regime that has destroyed hundreds of millions of it’s offspring, while championing growth in populace.
Only a Leftist could make a toast like this.

Trading w/ the Chicoms is a bad deal. We need to tax the crap about their exports to the US & threaten to default on all the debt we have with those killers. Then give nukes to Taiwan & thumb our noses at ‘em. Refusing all visas to the States for the commie scum would be a nice idea too.
They need our market for their exports far more than we need them. AND no more MFN status for those cheats!
I don’t like Red Chinese rise. I like Japanese rise.

Titles of honorable and excellency not added by me. I was aware of that...it just kills me how these people believe they deserve 'honorable' as a title.

Sadly, there are a number of FReepers who would disagree with you. They believe that as PRC becomes more prosperous, they will "like" us and become Christian and democratic.
They really believe it.

He’s is happy to see China rise...and build its coalition with Russia & Iran/Islam. It’s the final Axis of Evil.
To: Pinkbell
Red China wants America destroyed.
And so does Obama.
