Is it a memorial or an Obama rally? Souvenir t-shirts emblazoned with the logo for the 'Together We Thrive' gathering at the University of Arizona were placed on chairs at the arena ahead of the memorial.
It's odd for a memorial to a mass murder to have a logo, but it's crass to hand out souvenir t-shirts.

OMG this is sick.
Very appropriate. Thanks.
The GHOULS that refer to themselves as democrats never miss an opportunity to turn a tragedy into a DNC telethon. I'll wager the dolts who vote for these feinds are too thick to realize how sick it is to seek a political opportunity at a memorial for the victims.
Who's bright idea was it to have T-shirts?
I went to the massacre and all I got was this crummy t-shirt.
This is a million times worse than “Mission Accomplished.”
Sure, the dead lost their chance to thrive after a madman gunned them down but that doesn't mean you can't celebrate, even at their memorial.
Right, libs?
The lefties are channeling Wellstone again.
No wonder the Westboro Baptists bowed out. They figured with the obastard clan showing up with their true colors to turn the event into an extremely tacky episode, they decided they weren’t needed and would save the plane fare.
This was his so-called OKC event. A chance to kick off his 2012 campaign. I was watching the TLC channel. Sad story about a man with half a body.
Typical Godless behavior. These people aren’t souls to mourn, they’re things to manipulate for benefit.
Bump.
Further evidence the left can never think beyond politics. EVERYTHING is a political opportunity to them... EVERYTHING.
Anyone think the deep-BLUE color of the t-shirts is just mere coincidence?
This event did serve to remind me that any memorial service worth its salt has a slogan and a logo. I'm getting to work on mine. I hope it won't be needed for several decades, but you never know. Right now, I'm leaning toward:
SOUTHERNNORTHCAROLINA: He's Dead Right!
Nice play on words. Dignified yet distinctive color. They'd look good at the celebr-- er, the memorial service. What's everyone think?
If someone's relative dies in one of these tragic events that politicians latch on to and then attend one of these memorials, that says a lot about their family and upbringing.
No matter how it happened, you go to your church or funeral home for the service. You bury the dead in the family cemetary, you have a dinner either at home with family and friends or at the parish hall, and maybe go out quietly for drinks with loved ones later.
That's it, always, no matter what. Any thing else is an indication of low class.
My late brother’s flamboyant partner had a word for this: “Tacky”
Words to live by.....
And the audience was a-whoopin and a-hollerin, and a-whistlin. It was`nt a memorial for them. It was a party.
Were the t-shirts being sold or given away? I haven’t heard. Tasteless in any event. I wonder how the relatives of the victims feel about the whole thing.
you have g-mail. :>)
Now, The NYT says people actually booed Gov Brewer. Rush needs to find the audio of that for today. These people are ghouls.
