Oh, you better hope this is not true:
"The sheriff has been editorializing and politicizing the event since he took the podium to report on the incident. His blaming of radio personalities and bloggers is a pre-emptive strike because Mr. Dupnik knows this tragedy lays at his feet and his office. Six people died on his watch and he could have prevented it. He needs to step up and start apologizing to the families of the victims instead of spinning this event to serve his own political agenda."
What have I been saying? That in point of fact the Sheriff had every opportunity to stop this assault by actually enforcing the law and didn't do so.
Well now the truth is alleged to be this..... it's much worse, it appears, than anyone thought:
"Jared Loughner has been making death threats by phone to many people in Pima County including staff of Pima Community College, radio personalities and local bloggers. When Pima County Sheriffs Office was informed, his deputies assured the victims that he was being well managed by the mental health system. It was also suggested that further pressing of charges would be unnecessary and probably cause more problems than it solved as Jared Loughner has a family member that works for Pima County. Amy Loughner is a Natural Resource specialist for the Pima County Parks and Recreation."
What's your response to this Mr. Dupnik? A bit of truth comes out, eh? Exactly how many felonies did you decline to investigate and prosecute? Are you going to slink away from the white-hot light of truth or will you "man up" and admit that your scurrilous allegations were disseminated simply to try to save your own hide from the entirely-appropriate wrath at the ballot box that is certain to ensue come next election?
The suspect didn't just post one threat on an Internet forum and there wasn't "just one" incident - it's alleged here that he made multiple death threats against the staff of the college he was ejected from, radio personalities and local bloggers.
Each and every one of those threats was an offense and had just one of them been prosecuted it would have resulted in the suspect being blacklisted in the NICS database - and thus he would not have been able to buy the gun he shot the people in Tuscon with.
And before you go off on this guy and his blog being some sort of nut, here's the credentials from his page:
James Kelley is a native of Tucson, born here in 1961. A Navy veteran, he graduated twice from the Defense Language Institute in Monterey CA majoring in Albanian and Persian-Farsi. He was a Balkan area, Middle East North Africa, Southwest Asia, and Gulf Area analyst for the Naval Security Group and the National Security Agency. He received his Bachelor of Science in Sociology from the University of the State of New York, Albany. Since leaving the service he has worked as a premium cruise line representative, telecommunications specialist, real estate broker, and as a substitute teacher in local school districts.
Presently, Mr. Kelley is a contributing columnist for the Arizona News-Telegraph and the Executive Director of SocialNetworkingWatchdog.Org, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to educating youth and seniors on personal security while using social networking.
Does Arizona have a recall process for so-called "elected officials" who behave like this and refuse to accept responsibility for their conduct - including but not limited to blaming others for their own failures that result in the death of innocent people? How about some sort of impeachment procedure? If you don't, you need both - right now.
Best-a-luck in the next election Sheriff.
You're gonna need it.
I'm shocked, I tell you, shocked!
This sheriff dude is truely a dim bulb and dummie to boot. Looks like he might have let the lunatic killer roam freely all over his landscape letting him threaten innocent folks. The whole Democrat, liberal, left-wing ranting and raving is disgraceful!!! Shucks, shades of the Third Reich in action!!! The Democrat Party is going down with Obama in 2012 and the fools within it are hastening it along!!! As I have said before, National Socialism failed, Communism failed, Socialism failed, Obama has failed and the Democrat Party has failed. I guess these Democrat folks are in total denial over the true meaning of the November 2, 2010 mid-term election results!!!
1. Her association with Pima County (Fox News reported Sunday morning that she was with the Pima County Board of Supervisors, yet had reported the day before this Parks and Recreation connection).
2. The fact he'd been in the radar of county officials before, and had had charges brought against him.
3. The sheriff's mentioning he is "unstable" in his original news conference - even though he also stated he had not been cooperating (Then, how did the sheriff know about his instability firsthand?).
Altogether told me there was something between his department and the family. I hope this pans out.
I'd like nothing more than seeing this jackass booted from office, if not brought up on charges (I hope for both...).
Rest assured that a lot of folks are emailing this article to them as we speak.
The lack of reporting on his parents is most telling.
I see wrongful death lawsuits all over the place.
Sheriff (combover) Dupnic has much to worry about.
One of our guys:

That is why he is lawyering up.
.
. Pima county is way left wacko country.
.
Recall him...NOW!
.
>> “The lack of reporting on his parents is most telling.” <<
.
And don’t expect it to change soon.
He’ll win even bigger down here now. He’s on his way to being a commie legend. He hates like they hate. The University of Arizona will probably rename their gym after him.
“Pima county is way left wacko country.”
That’s an understatement. A George McGovern liberal and semi-sane is a right winger down here.
Got one fer ya...

Yes my old friend, Denninger screws up sometimes. Highly emotional people tend to do that a lot. Sometimes when he gets angry he loses his rationality and launches the wrong attack. He can be very wrong. He is mad at the tea party because he feels that they dropped the ball on the financial mess, among other things, and he feels that he has been duped. And to some degree he may be right, but I hope that in the end- he turns out not to be. I still want to hope in the tea party because there is not much more to hope in at this point in the game. But in any case Karl feels sure that he has been duped- and,
There is nothing more nasty than a scorned Karl Denninger.
Sometimes that can be bad, but most times- I think it helps to drive him on in his fight against “Evil”.
Fortunately, He is most often on the right side. I guess there are times when you have to look for the good in people even when they make some huge mistakes. He is a great writer who has worked like an ox to try and expose fraud, and wrong doing. You can’t say that he does not give it his all in trying to change things. I simply wonder sometimes how he finds all the time.
So I totally share your frustration and grief in Denninger’s Faults(and I could name more), Yet I think that overall he has a longing to do great good.
Take Care
BTTT
somehow this leftist thought he would be able to conceal the truth because he has a badge.
BTW, since Cliffords did not die and appears to be recovering, I wonder what is the policy on flying flags at half mast.
The sheriff seems to be a fool.
