Wilmington, Delaware (CNN) -- Police have found homicide victim John Wheeler's cell phone, according to a taxi driver who was interviewed by investigators this week.
Athel Scott told CNN National Correspondent Susan Candiotti that police told him they found the cab driver's number in the phone of Wheeler, the former Pentagon official who was found dead in a Delaware landfill. He said investigators wanted to know how his number got there. Scott... says he told the police he didn't have any idea.
"I never got a call from the man. I don't know him... He's never been in my cab. I don't know how my number got in his cellphone," Scott says he told police...

There was a 40 minute time period from the time he was seen at the Pharmacy and when he was seen entering the parking garage.
He was robbed between 6 PM and 6:40 PM.
I wrote it in the post why.
It was mentioned on a talk show as a possibility for his behavior.
You can find out much about it on google
What they are not telling us is how he was dressed in the Pharmacy and if he was carrying a briefcase.
It has been reported that the “smoke bombs” as they have been described, were simply the kind of misters that you set off to control insects. Once activated, they send off a cloud of insecticide and it is advised that they be activated and that humans leave the premises for several hours while the “mist” or “smoke” saturates the surroundings.
He was going to rat out his gangster partners.
There has been no cover up.
It’s just a street crime that had a coincidental connection to Brennan’s passport scrubbing, because these guys were stealing passport info to open credit card accounts.

Wouldn’t the drugging of Wheeler have been one way to obtain sensitive information from him? This man would not have made this many mistakes if he had truly meant to do something untoward.
It's about 15 miles from New Castle City to Newark.
College Square Shopping Center is very close to the University of Delaware campus. I have the impression of several empty stores, particularly at the south and east parts (the bank in on the south west side, stand-alone bldg.)
Please add me to the ping list. Thanks.
Amtrak...Wilmington to Philadelphia
He called a cab to go from Newcastle to Philadelphia. He called from a Plaza. Why didn't he call from home??
Sounds like MAYBE he had a couple of errands in the Plaza. Did he mail anything? Is there a Post Office there?
When the cabbie didn't show (and I don't believe the cabbie), John wanted to get to Wilmington according to the druggist...likely to the amtrak station. He was now an hour behind. By the time he got to Wilmington, he was almost two hours behind.
So why was John going to Philadelphia?
The Pharmacist didn't say what he was wearing or if he had a briefcase. Unforunately, it looks like his statement was tainted by the early info that got out.
Is there a camera at the pharmacy? Almost all around here have them because of the possibility of drug theft.
So why did John go home and then turn back around and head for Philadelphia??(And probably on to DC. Was there a special meeting called?
They must have tons of info. In the end, we're going to get a one sentence statement that John died of a knife wound to his ????.
His wife is from a powerful family. Don't kid yourself. She's running the show.
Thanks
Amtrak uses the same rails, would take less time (not as many stops) but run far less frequently.
Has been mentioned before that she was from an aristocatic family. From where do they get their power?
Did a little digging as there are too many things that don't make sense to me:
And of course the difference between those two scenarios would be obvious with the phone in hand, since the numbers would be stored in different places. Were the cabbie's number in the numbers dialed register, I believe that the cabbie would be in custody now.
Jack was coming in from Washington D.C. to the Amtrak
station in Wilmington. His car was parked at the Doubletree
hotel garage about 4 blocks away, (on RT 13) which he never made it to.
(His car was later found still in the garage.)
Amtrak_Doubletree hotel wilmington
Under normal circumstances he would have gone to the garage
and got in his car and drove to his home in New Castle.
Somehow Jack went to the wrong garage 4 blocks farther up the street.
