The Democrat set to face off against Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) on the House Oversight panel suggested brokering an agreement between Issa and the Obama administration on the public release of sensitive information to congressional investigators. Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-Md.), the incoming ranking member of the committee, said it might be possible to negotiate a compromise that would avoid exposing national security secrets or other privileged information. "I think that Mr. Issa and I should sit down and try to figure this out. Make sure the country isn't being threatened," Cummings said on Monday during an appearance on MSNBC.

Negotiate? The GOP, last time I looked, was taking over the House. And Elijah Cummings is near to the top of the dim bulb list in Congress.

Why should this topic be any more subject to secrecy than, say, private state department communications?

NO AGREEMENTS AND NO NEGOTIATIONS. PERIOD, END OF STORY!

“Make sure the country isn't being threatened,”
Just destroyed under Obama and the Cong Black Caucus with Fannie & Freddie starting in the 2006 Congress. I hope Issa does not back down. I would bet Repubs will be personally threatened with violence. The Dems are so evil.

No deals, Issa! It’s time the Obama Administration starts being as transparent as was promised during the 2008 Campaigns. Let’s just see what has been going on, shall we???

You and I both know that they aren’t concerned about “national security” issues.
They’re concerned about information about Holder and 0bama and Van Jones, etc
getting out.

Given the size, it should be easy to hide.

I saw this toady on FNC this morning before heading off to work. He was blathering on about how Pubbies now have a responsibility to be bi-partisan. Dems only speak of such things when they are out of power, never when they have their grubby mitts on the levers of power.

I can’t wait for the first hearing about anything, just to watch the scumbag dhims throw sand in the gears. Objection after objection with lots of obfustication thrown in for good measure. I’ll bet it will take a week to name and swear in the first witness
To: Panzerlied
Hard to pick a leader here. I doubt that Cummings is as stupid as Maxine Waters, or good old Hank (Guam is going to tip over) Johnson, but he’s right up there!
