Although Hawaii's newly elected Democrat governor, Neil Abercrombie, has recently given a flurry of high-profile media interviews condemning "birthers" who question Barack Obama's constitutional eligibility to occupy the Oval Office, suddenly he is declining to answer a few hard questions.

For some reason, McCain handed the presidency to Obama the weekend of the "financial summit." All through the campaign he refused to criticize him, and then simply handed the whole thing to him just when he had started to pull ahead.

In the history of the United States, no court has ever drawn a distinction between a citizen by birth and a natural born citizen. For your argument to be accepted, a court would need not only to declare Barak Obama not to be a President, but would also have to declare Chester A. Arthur not to have been. The Constitution makes Congress, not the federal courts, the judge of the presidential election. Congess has declared Obama to be president and. like it or not, that's the final answer.

At least one state court (the Indiana Court of Appeals) was presented this issue by citizens who sought to have Obama's (and, oddly enough McCain's) electors ruled ineligible. The Cout's decision was cogently written and is worth your reading (unless, of course, the State of Indiana is also a party to this grand conspiracy). Google on something to the effect of "Steve Ankeny and Bill Kruse v. Governor of the State of Indiana".

I was here when he was born. I agree. I was HERE (in Texas) when he was born but I know he was not born in Texas. Here is where everyone was when something happens. If he was at the real "here" (AT the birth) that's different but he didn't say that. There not here.

My main reason for not totally agreeing with the birthers is that if there was one itoa any hard evidence/proof that he wasn’t eligible to be President, I can’t believe that the Clinton operation couldn’t unearth it.

Oh, I'm sure Hilary!'s got a copy of the long form. I think she wanted someone completely unconnected to release it and leave her with clean hands, and that didn't happen.
