Vanity: Is serving in the military a constitutional civil RIGHT?
Jim Robinson
Posted on 12/19/2010 12:25:15 PM PST by Jim Robinson
Can anyone just march into a recruiting office and demand his constitutionally guaranteed civil RIGHT to serve? Or does he first have to qualify? Mentally, educationally, physically, healthwise, morally, etc?

Who is so numb skulled that they cannot see the presumption of homosexuality that soon will be applied subconsiously to all in uniform? Indeed, the unintended consequences of this are going to be endless.

I have seen the show, but was quite young. If Klingle’s intent was to get out and being gay was an 4F, why wasn’t he rejected? Because he wasn’t really gay?

Will Chastity Bono apply to be a SEAL after her transgender metamorphiss is complete? Sorry to tell you that Chaz IS complete. What you see is the final product - no improvements forthcoming. She has already had her addadictomy. I think the SEALS can use "him" now. As a buoy.

We do not support the homosexual agenda on FR and if you continue to do so beyond this point, your account most definitely will get the zot. They are definitely trying to screw up the military. That’s what this openly gay civil right shit is all about. Don’t like our objection to it? Leave!!

The military is not going to give them any more rights than they do heterosexuals........ fraternization, co-habitation, etc. Just wait until the ACLU gets involved.
Congress just created a protected class in the Military, wait and see.

No, I don’t believe it is. Like you mentioned, they have to meet the requirements for enlistment.
Sadly the Marxists trying to destroy the finest military in the world are succeeding in lowering those requirements.

No, as a matter of fact, it isn’t. If it were, it would be outlined in the Constitution specifically.

The guy I voted for spoke out fiercely against repealing DADT. His opponent made repealing DADT a campaign promise. The guy I voted for lost.
As Mick Jagger once told me, you can't always get what you want.

To the morally degenerate only! Then my entire command must be made up of moral degenerates because I don't expect to see anyone having an emotional breakdown at work tomorrow.

That's not what I wrote, was it? Yes, you avoided the question. That is tacit approval.

Typical troll tactic.

MASH was one of the early and successful attempts to normalize the leftist agenda.

Even as a kid watching that show I knew that they were FOS. Of course, having a dad who fought in WWII and an uncle who died in Korea I knew that their attempts to demonize and disparage the military for the sake of a cheap laugh was crap.

My brother, who has since passed, wanted to serve in Nam along with some of his buddies. However the military would not take him due to his allergies. He was 6'4, played softball and was the picture of health to look at him. But if he got around animals (especially cats) and many kinds of flowering plants, he would be coughing and sneezing constantly. He was very disappointed that he could not serve.
