Troops who can't accept the idea of overturning the ban on gays in the military should consider leaving the service, says a senior aide to Gen. David Petraeus.
Command Sergeant Major Marvin Hill tells TV One's "Washington Watch" that he believes "the troops are ready" for the repeal of the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy.
"If there are people who cannot deal with the change, then they're going to have to do what's best for their troops and best for the organization and best for the military service and exit the military service, so that we can move forward -- if that's the way that we have to go," Hill says in an interview with Roland Martin, scheduled to air Sunday.
Hill says it will be up to military brass to "set the tone" for the rank-and-file in accepting gay service members.
"We know that if there is a change, that that change will have to be led, and it's going to have to be led by senior leaders such as myself and -- and others across the battlefield," Hill says.

You mean “rule out winning any more battles”. We haven’t won a war since 1945. Our military wins almost every battle, but the politicians who demand that we fight all wars to a draw lose the wars for us because the enemy knows that all they have to do is wait for DC to declare victory and then we leave and let the bad guys take over again.
At least the All-Homo Army (motto: Be As Fabulous As You Can Be) can lose with flair and enjoy their time as POWs!

By saying what they [brass and politicans] want him to say.
Telling them what they want to hear.
Doing what they want him to do. Not necessarily performing his duty. I.e. Political correctness, not the Constitution or military regulations is his guideline.
Why they don’t delete the “I swear to protect and defend the Constioution of the United States.....” that politicians swear to and the Armed Forces members also.
That we are in the condition we are in demonstrates that no one that swore it takes it seriously.

Just imagine having to put your life on the line to protect ‘moderate’ Muslims at home while fighting ‘militant’ Muslims abroad.

This is in effect a bloodless purge of the military. And it’s step 1 of destroying the military. The next step I would bet is to introduce political education into the military, and attendance will be mandatory. Anyone suspected of not having the correct political attitude would be getting a less than honorable discharge.
No more DOD work until FUBO is out of office.

Yes, this would drive away ordinary, patriotic people. It would attract people who may not particulary identify with their country but would be grateful servants of the ruling class.
Let me guess, this guy is in the closet and really wants to come out.
There will be special offices on every base that will prosecute every perceived slight of a homosoldiers.
“Sarge yelled at me” will get Sarge in the stockade.
Plus... do you think they will let soldiers leave?? There will be stop/loss orders very quickly when they can’t get enough soldiers.
Plus, it will be the beginning of the end of the US military as an effective fighting force and the start of a new social program!
