While many here are upset that UI was extended another 13 months, I think the angry those few of you hold for the Repubs pale by comparison to the anger the left now holds for Obama.
Many of the reporters on an[ll the channels are saying openly that RAT aide are emailing them worried the base will now fall apart and that they could possibly see an open revolt within the party.
One even made mention to the left waiting for the first RAT to step up and demand Obambi's birth certificate.
Over at DU they are now calling all to arms to find someone to challenge Bambi for the nomination.
Folks Christmas has come a few days early!!!
This might very well be the straw that will break the camels back, for Bambi's political career.
From now on the only support he'll have will be the black vote.

13 months+99 months = 112 months of welfare (by then it has gone WAY past just what Unemployment Insurance).

Tactically, republicans had no reason to make a deal with Obama. We had ALL the cards. Obama would have had to completely fold next month. Would he really veto a republican tax bill and as a result raise everyone’s taxes?
I think the only reason the republican leadership made a deal with Obama NOW is so that they won’t have to face the new Tea Party congress with this issue later.
Remember that a LOT of good conservatives were laid off in the past two years. We don't go into soup lines and seek out government benefits. And unemployment does not come close to paying a mortgage or bills. So say you are a good person and had laid up a sum to live off of in hard times. EVEN THAT goes fast.
It was Obama's economy and the fear of it continuing that caused employers to slash their staff. It is no fault of the unemployed.
I wish all of you were a little more sensitive to the many good people laid off. They do NOT get some magical great benefits, and they paid into unemployment all these years. I don't know what length of time is right, but here in the USA they receive a FRACTION, a tiny fraction, of their salaries, whereas when I collected in a European country once upon a time, I was making 90% of my high salary for many months, and it slowly dropped down to 80%, then 60%, etc. (In fact, it was my eye-opener to socialism and I just felt it was SO WRONG to make that kind of money sitting on my couch.) Here, even if you made $10K a month, you get $1200. Big difference.
They still may get their chance. I'd be suprised if the lame duck democrats that got the boot agree to this..
I agree with you. Hopefully, this will mean a serious primary challenger in 2012, which would practically guarantee a Republican victory.
Are you people crazy? All the cards? Look at the reality. We are still the minority party in ALL THREE segments of our government right now, and the RATS STILL hold 2/3rds of the government AFTER the new congress is sworn in. Do you not understand that the new Republicans elected don't take office until next year and that Nancy Pelosi still runs the show in the House? How the HELL are you going to get anything at all done without framing it in a way that you can adjust once you have the POWER to do so? That power is coming, albeit limited since we don't have the Senate (but control the negative view of government since we're still the minority) . I'm surprised at how so many Freepers these days don't grasp reality and am seriously beginning to question that most of you aren't left wing bloggers employed by the Carter Center and other liberal subterfuge outlets to confuse normally clear thinking individuals.
Think about this for a moment: Barack Obama just conceded his biggest campaign pledge while still holding an 59 seat majority in the Senate and a HUGE majority in the House. And yet you still think that a LOSS? Look at the big picture, and quit thinking inside your own little immediate satisfaction world.
The moonbat left has every reason in the world to consider this an ignoble defeat.
Conservatives have every reason to consider it a win. The GOP is outnumbered by a large margin in both houses, yet still forced a major concession from the President. One that is, by any measure, "the right thing to do" -- while yielding little in comparison.
We should be celebrating, not complaining.

Screw that. we shouldn’t extend unemployment for 13 minutes without paying for it. 13 MONTHS? Why not just grant every american a full-time salary for doing nothing for the rest of their lives. I’m sure Bill Gates will pay for it.
Damn, we barely get the tax cuts extended as far as unemployment is? And they expire again in 2 years, in the next lame duck session? And they didn’t even keep the death tax dead? 35%?
The democrats must be laughing at us with their faux “anger”. They took a couple of fake votes that they LOST, and now they got exactly what they wanted. You think they CARE about a couple more years of tax cuts for the rich? They know eventually we’ll screw the rich, since they are still spending twice what we take in.
This is a horrible deal, and no self-respecting conservative should support it. I’d rather see the tax rates go up.
There was ONE principle we were standing on — that uneployment benefits aren’t an emergency, and should be paid for by taking money from the Obama slush funds. Now we threw that away for “tax breaks for the wealthy”.
I know, I almost wish I had lost my job, so I could have spent 3 years “finding myself” on the backs of stupid people who actually work for a living.
And if I had refinanced my house when it was worth over a half million dollars, I could default on that, and use the $250,000 to supplement my monthly taxpayer stipend, and live like royalty while stupid honest people lived in their means and paid taxes to subsidize me.
Obama’s plan clearly counts on so many people being unemployed that they will outnumber the taxpayers, who all have to be pissed at this stuff.
Wait until DeMint and Palin bash this — then I’m guessing some of the freepers here will change their tune.
And all this rage is because SOMEBODY ELSE’S taxes aren’t going up!
The non-payers and bleeding heart idiots may outnumber us and they can vote as well.
