Sarah Palin never claimed she could see Russia from her house that was Tina Fey but she went one better on Glenn Beck's radio show in discussing the tensions in the Korean Peninsula and saying: "We've got to stand with our North Korean allies".
A transcript of the radio show reads:
Interviewer: How would you handle a situation like the one that just developed in North Korea?
Palin: Well, North Korea, this is stemming from a greater problem, when we're all sitting around asking, 'Oh no, what are we going to do,' and we're not having a lot of faith that the White House is going to come out with a strong enough policy to sanction what it is that North Korea is going to do. So this speaks to a bigger picture that certainly scares me in terms of our national security policy. But obviously, we've got to stand with our North Korean allies we're bound to by treaty....
Interviewer: South Korean.
Palin: Yes, and we're also bound by prudence to stand with our South Korean allies, yes.

Yawn. The lady misspoke. Big whoop.
“Understand...but still...this is the Koreas, I cannot for the life of me see any reason for confusion.”
There is no confusion, it’s a mere slip of the tongue. Step back and take an honest look.
/face_palm
I don’t believe there’s any doubt what she was meaning to say. She just misspoke.
You can be SURE the Left won’t let this one go though.
I bet she knows the difference between East and West Bulgaria!
Ok, let's ask her.
Paline: "I believe we need to respect families and provide greater access to curricula and programs that teach ethics and character. The ABC method is a local program that depends strongly on these principles. ABC students have nightly homework, back to basics curriculum, patriotism, ethics and citizenship training. Programs such as ABC have core principles of trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and good citizenship."
Do you disagree with her position on "govt" education?
“There should be no public school system. That is government running things which is socialism.Government/socialism doesnt work.”
I agree. Most kids in my community attend private schools. We even have a private volunteer ambulance system that is more efficient than the public system.
What the hell are YOU talking about? What "conservative" realm do you hail from -Berkeley?
MANY consider "Liberatrian" by default to be right fringe group and as result some of their concepts as well are on the fringe...
Conservative principle seem to elude YOU the taxpayers fund the money that the government spends and YOU are quite okay with strings attached? Maybe you just think governemnt knows best?
Why do you consider a basic conservative e.g. "the people know best how to spend the money" premise to be fringe Libertarian?
I did not put this out there to slam Palin. I put it out there so people could see what the liberals are doing in the media to her for a slip of the tongue. I am a staunch supporter of her and I made my thoughts in the 1st post and had to go clean ducks with my son as I told you. Family comes first. I have tried to read every post. I am disabled and it takes me a long time to type sometimes. Arthritis is very painful sir and it was painful to pull feathers out of those ducks and geese for dinner tommorrow but it will be worth it. Give me time and I will respond as I am able to. Do you understand me sir?
“Exactly what treaty is she referring to?”
The United States and Korea are allied by the 1953 Mutual Defense Treaty.
Go away...
Nice deflection maneuver, there. You catching a whiff of ozone or something?
I believe in freedom.
Then you ought to be foursquare behind Sarah Palin, but you're not.
Although she's got the most stridently pro-freedom message of any politician in decades, you seem to find every reason under the sun to criticize, demean, and oppose her. Does not compute.
Sorry, but there's a disconnect between what you claim to believe in, and what you actually do here.
Also I assumed that the posters were reponding to the post and not me personally except for a few. I never see the 2nd division vet guy that creates threads hardly ever respond.
Or all 57 states. How was that a slip of the tongue?
LMAO!!!
I am going to restrain myself the rest of the evening...
Well, I don’t believe the View will be live tommorrow but I imagine friday they will be all over it.
Just for the record which Korea is the good one, according to you?
We can ask the NEA, which usually hates Republicans:
“The 3.2 million members of the National Education Association are pleasantly surprised by Senator John McCain’s selection of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin to join his ticket as the Republican nominee for vice president, the labor union said in a news release on Friday, Aug. 29, the day McCain made his surprise announcement.
“While she is only in her second year as Alaska’s Governor, she has thus far shown herself to be a supporter of children and public education, the NEA said.
“In her less than two years as the state’s chief executive officer, she was able to increase per-pupil education spending, and she is opposed to sending public money to support private schools through political schemes like vouchers.
I guess we’ll see. So far, it’s Sarah against the mice, so it’s no-brainer for me - DEFINITELY SARAH in the Primaries. On the other hand, if DeMint runs and looks up to the task, or if Inhofe, or some other solid conservative runs, then I will have to make a call. I’m simply not convinced that she is the best Republican out there, even if she is miles ahead of the clowns are that think they have a chance.
Yea, exactly!
