Kamala Harris wins attorney general race
San Francisco Chronicle ^ | 11/24/10 | Marisa Lagos, Chronicle Staff Writer

SAN FRANCISCO -- San Francisco District Attorney Kamala Harris will be California's next attorney general, after her Republican opponent conceded today - a full three weeks after the Nov. 2 election.

Los Angeles District Attorney Steve Cooley had declared victory on election night, only to see the race flip-flop between the two candidates in the coming days as counties around the state continued to tally mail-in and provisional ballots. This morning, Cooley called Harris - who is now leading by 50,000 votes - to concede and congratulate her.

She will become the state's first female attorney general.

In a written statement, Cooley said his campaign "believes that we cannot make up the current gap in the vote count."

"It is unfortunate that someone who is a non-partisan non-politician could not overcome the increasingly partisan tendencies of the state, even for an office that by its nature necessitates a non-partisan approach," he added.

Harris will now join San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom - the state's lieutenant governor-elect - in Sacramento next year, . . .

We can now officially turn out the lights in California. It has fully gone over to the darkside.

This means that Gavin Newsome is the lone conservative in the state house. Yikes!

Further proof the CA electorate is insane.

Kamala Harris is an arch-liberal wackjob. She was soft on SF cop-killers and loved the whole Sanctuary city thing. Hell, what do I care. Look who she is following. Governor Moonbeam Brown was the last CA AG.

We are screwed. Please let me live to see retirement so I can flee this GD idiotic piece of S#!^ dumbass moronic imbicile state. How in god’s name are the leftmost San Francsico arch-communists winning state wide position election after election. Never mind. I know that. Voter fraud, pure and simple.

Get me the hell out of this communist cesspool circling the drain of insanity. Get me out of here.

CA needs to crash and burn, and I live here - I should know. Tonight I am going home and pray for an 8.5 earthquake to swallow the Bay Area whole — effective next week, after my Mother returns from taking care of my uncle in St. Mary’s Hospital in SF. Then, come on earthquake. Take Gammorah down to the bottom of the sea, please. Yes, I will lose some friends and former co-workers, some of whom I really liked. Collateral damage. The price is worth it. The catastrophic CA quake of 2010 can’t come soon enough.

I don’t need to click the link and read the comments. I lived in the city San Francisco for 12 years and only escaped 3 years ago.

They are whacked. Most of the residents of the SF bay area are completely mentally whacked. Michael Savage is right - liberalism is a dangerous mental disorder.

OK, riddle fans, here's a toughie:

What's the difference between California voters and the passengers on the Titanic?

The passengers on the Titanic didn't vote to hit the iceberg...

Two things are going to hit CA:

(1) San Andreas Fault

(2) Full Mexican or Chinese invasion

Feinstein, Boxer, Harris, Newsome and Brown. Your description of them is correct.

Hi Kamala, hope you preside over a Kalifornia that is color blind. Then again, Kamal, you may not get paid as your state drowns in a mountain of debt and depravity.

Hey, who am I to judge depravity...?

Eat sh#t and die liberals/progressives/communists/democrats, you are a heart beat away from extinction.

The Golden State turns Brown.

The only positive coming out of the Brown election is that he's just crazy enough to possibly do something about the budget, and take on his fellow Dems in the legislature.

There's just no getting around a $25 Billion deficit. You either cut spending or raise taxes by a lot, and they still need a 2/3rd's super-majority to do that.
Besides, with 20% unemployment in the state, and businesses leaving in droves, there are few taxpayers left.
Prop. 13 is safe, so they can't jack up property taxes. They also can't raise revenues by calling new taxes "fees", as the voters passed Prop. 26, which forbids that trick.

I don't think Brown is as committed an ideologue as his Democratic cohorts. He has been a maverick before. I'm hoping he does the right thing this time around, or this state is doomed, financially speaking.

Chinese invasion would save the place.

The only problem is the Chinese aren’t coming in fast enough.

Hmmmm! Interesting decades-old pattern in elections that demoncrats seem to win by the skin-of-their-teeth...Yep! I seem to remember them doing much the same thing for HST in 48...

Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan says:

Damn you California! I was THISCLOSE to winning the Worse State Attorney General Award, due to Jerry Brown, Richard Blumenthal, and Andrew Cuomo leaving office. All I had to do was stay in there longer than Martha Coakley and Beau Biden. Can you name any other A.G. who's ONLY qualification for the job was "my daddy is Chairman of the state Democrat Party? Hell, even Beau Biden was in the U.S. Department of Justice before taking office! My only law experience was representing crooked nursing homes!

“I looked at the California statewide results and I cannot find one exception. The rats won all the statewide offices. Every single incumbent rat won in the California senate, state assembly, and U.S. House of Representatives. Boxer is back for six more years. All of the ballot propositions contests were won by the democrat/unions.”

Better get used to it.

California has “toppled over” to the left. It has fallen so far, and its internal demographics have changed so irrevocably, that this can never be reversed.

It doesn’t matter that there might still be 10 million “conservatives” (or Republicans) left there. No matter that you are 10 million strong if there are 20 million who embrace the ideas of the other side.

Conservatives in California must face a very unpleasant truth:
So long as they remain in California, they will be “subjects of the left” — ruled by ‘rats with little or no say in the political process.

Don’t like it? Too bad. Conservatives in Massachusetts, New York, Vermont, etc., all live under the same unpleasant reality.

What’s the solution?
Well, it’s very easy:
Move OUT of California.

Conservatives have as much chance at “restoring” sense to California as Jews had in Germany in 1936.

There is always the option of recall, if the people of this staate have the stomach for it.
