And major metropolitan subway systems do not suffer from this insane assault on our rights. We don't make every passenger in the DC Metro get strip-searched/groped before boarding the Red Line in the morning. Why not? Subways have been attacked before (Spain, UK, and most recently, a plan to attack the Metro in DC). So, where are the scanners and groping? More people could die during rush hour in the morning than on a single flight, but yet we do nothing in pursuit of “safety.”

The TSA administrator made it clear that he wants to apply airport measures to all mass transit, so don't think trains, subs, and buses are going to escape this.

Quite frankly, drunk Americans kill many more Americans every single year than terrorists and they do it all over the country. We have more to be worried about from some drunk idiot that decided he could drive than we do some terrorist, but don't let that stop our leaders and the liberals from trying to scare us.

We've known this was coming for years, ever since Bush and his buddies came up with the Department of Homeland Security crap. I think it's great that Obama is getting saddled with it, but it was Bush's baby. Michael Chertoff, good old Republican and Bush buddy, has been beating the drum for these measures for quite a while. Not surprising, since he's lobbying for the companies that make and sell the scanners.

Yeah, you are right, and imagine the morning rush hour snafu’s when everyone has to take off their shoes (ewwww. . .in the Metro), have their briefcases checked and a full-body grope. . .talk about a totalitarian police-state. . .let alone the whole system crashing to a halt.
