Don’t worry, it will be blamed on the new Congress and of course, it is STILL Bush’s fault.

Freepers final WARNING, inflation here now, prepare yourself food, investment etc. 4% for now
__________________________________________
Really, steve? The CNBC headline really has a warning for us FReepers?
Dude. You deserve a zot just for that. I’m sure there are other things you are zot-worthy of, but....
Don't most folks prepare themselves food every day?
I'm preparing steak and noodles this evening.
Our FINAL warning is to “get ready to panic”?
Way to hedge your bets, LOL
Still, you’re not wrong about the inflation. 1000 dollars per family per month until June 2011.
So Dude....whats this do to the “Infl adj bnd funds”....up or down dude.....
the only benefit of this type of tax is that is a flat tax or more correctly a consumption tax....
this is what Obummer wanted? charge the poor more money for things so they starve?
but the blind, they will not see.....it will be Bush's fault to them.
The rising prices on food will be blamed on the hoarders of food, just like they blamed the gasoline shortage on those who filled up their tanks of gasoline during the Carter years.
Go give away your land and stand on the roof of your house and wait for the Rapture to come. And then when the Rapture doesn’t come, sue the socks off the people to whom you gave your land.
This happened in the 19th century, and it’s happening again now.
Get real.
Ping for later
I don told you a thousand million times.....”DON”T PANIC”
A couple of years ago, many grocery item prices shot up.
People quit buying those items.
After about 6-9 months, the prices on those items slowly declined.
Of course, we could be heading into a massive inflation period similar to the early 1980s, when inflation was running at double-digits.
Hit Costco yesterday to finish off some supplies that I didn’t feel were up to par.
Sugar had doubled since I last bought it. My 5 liters of olive oil had gone up 2 bucks.
The rice was a bit higher. Oatmeal was about the same and was the only package that hadn’t shrunk, instead of 9 pounds it was 10.
BUT - let it come, I don’t have to go to the grocery for the a long time.
Don’t panic till you see the whites in their eyes.
Ammo will go up in price. With ammo you can kill your own food.
Trade ammo for food.
Trade ammo for beer.
And yes, trade ammo for gold and silver.
There isn't even a hint of genuine inflation right now. You'll know it's here when employees start getting 10% annual raises like in the Carter years. There are a lot of price run-ups in various commodities due to government meddling in markets, but they will not hold up for long. The second Great Deflationary Depression is here, and the Bernanke/Obama/RINO coalition are doing their best to gin up some phony inflation to counter the collapse of the vast credit bubble, including spending three trillion dollars to pretend the banks didn't really lose what they lost when housing collapsed. Otherwise, the public would be looking at a 60% haircut in the supposedly safe fixed income portions of their retirement fund balances, and that kind of thing is very bad for political careers...
Expect the dollar to strengthen, and continue to gain strength with the uusl ups and downs for a few years yet, at least. The Weimar Republic hyperinflationary scenario may pose a threat at some future date, but conditions are not yet ready for it to take hold.
The Ketchup that was .99cents during the summer is now $2.50.
Picked up 20kg of flour last night...just in case.
I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain.

Panic makes you part of the problem, not part of the solution.
Real Americans never panic. Cowboy up.
