Low supporter turnout for Richard Blumenthal has forced the campaign to send out an alert Tuesday afternoon urging supporters to get out to the polls.
Voter turnout appears to be heavy in areas that benefit our opponent, The campaign email read". It is critical that we maximize our efforts to get our supporters to the polls. We need your help
Blumenthal is running against Linda McMahon in a highly publicized campaign for US Senate in Connecticut. The Real Clear Politics average of all national pulling has Blumenthal leading McMahon by 9 points, however that lead has been shrinking in recent weeks.
Polls close in Connecticut at 8PM ET.
One of the perils for Dems in this election is that races in the east will turn out to favor the GOP by much higher numbers than expected.
Even if Blumenthal and Coons win, if it’s only by a few points rather than the blowout that has been predicted, that bodes ill for races out west. If Dems in NV, CA, etc. see how big the GOP wave is, they may just say it’s not worth it and stay home.
Dems have to keep the morale up for now, but after the polls close in the east and results start rolling it, it will be too late.
Can’t count chickens before they’re hatched, but the anecdotal evidence in DE and CT are encouraging signs.
That's he, not she.
It's Publius, not Publia. Know your Latin!
Well, maybe, just maybe that Obama’s been squirreling away so much cash for his government-in-exile-in-Mumbai (at 200M/day, mind you) that they just plain din’t have enough ready cash for ‘walkingaroundmoney’......Either that or the presses are printing so damn much to cover real debt, they can’t spare it for lowlifes they can lie to.
The Battle of Lepanto was a naval engagement which helped turn the tide of Islamic expansion into the Mediterranean. The Ottoman Empire had a large fleet while the Holy League had a much smaller one. This smaller fleet, by aggressively engaging, delivered a crushing defeat on the larger force, stemming Islamic seaborne conquest.
Item of historical note, one of the soldiers fighting with the Holy League, and Duke Don John of Austria, was a Spaniard, who later became quite famous, in his own right, in another field of endeavor. His name, Miguel Cervantes, author of "Don Quixote"...

The Democrats have to drag all their voters to the polls. And since no one cares about Obummer, that’s a big problem.
I think Linda McMahon is one of the most impressive candidates I’ve seen this year... She KNOWS how business works...
C’Mon Conneticut! Find your patriot roots!

At Lepanto a ragtag Catholic navy destroyed the Turkish fleet and ended Islam’s reign as the world’s superpower.
Bingo . A head fake , don’t take the bait . Remember Kerry (who served in Vietnam ) thought he won based on exit polls . Jive .
The Battle of Lepanto in 1571 presents a wonderful example of good triumphing over evil and some of us enjoy drawing a clear parallel between that battle and this election.
10,000 Christian galley slaves were freed as a result of the Holy League’s devastating victory over the Ottoman Turks.

It makes me wonder if there is really a low voter turnout. Sometimes I think they pull these stunts to get middle-America and the East coast fired up. . .
same thing in Delaware !! LOW RAT turnout !!
There you are ! I forgot your screen name (sorry) ! For some reason I thought you were ummm a girl. I ment no harm by that. But I miss your post! Are you still @ 132? I am upping my Senate prediction from 12 to 13.
Fingers, toes, knees, arms, eyes all crossed...LOL!
Don’t buy it . Head fake .
“Voter turnout appears to be heavy in areas that benefit our opponent.”
LOL, sucks to be you Blumenthal!
If that holds up all over the country, we could be seeing some upset GOP victories no one expected to tonight.
I already voted. I have a good feeling that its going to be a historic win!
It would make my day if this POS Blumenthal got beat.
All the left is saying they are worried about turn out......something smells fishy to me...the fix is in....I think more Dems will win than we think......I just have this awful feeling. I hope I am wrong.
