In primaries this year, Republican voters in Alaska, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Kentucky, Nevada, and Utah, have rejecteden massethe candidates preferred by the National Republican Senatorial Committee, which Rove is said to informally advise. The Conservative Party candidate Tom Tancredoa known enemy of Roveis trouncing the GOP-backed candidate in the race for governor of Colorado.

There is a huge difference between a seasoned operator with widespread name recognition who has served at the highest levels of the Republican Party coming out on television to attack a Republican candidate after she has won the nomination, and a private citizen in a free forum coming out against a politician he or she doesn’t approve of.
It may or may not be smart. But it’s not the same thing at all.
Rove knows better. But he decided to do his best to destroy the person nominated by his own party anyway.
Matter of fact, he did the same damned thing when he was working for Bush and worked to undermine Bill Simon in California, because Simon had been nominated by a 2-1 vote against his leftist choice. And then, of course, he gave us Arnie instead.
Great post. I would add to your list only that Bush, while he fought the war on terror with some gusto, fought it with PC, failed to demonize the true enemy, failed to go after the strategic enemies (Saudi Arabia and Iran) and allowed the Democrat party back in the game on national security. I would summarize by saying he squandered an opportunity to remake the middle east because he thought there is such a thing as moderate islam. As a result, while he protected us for a few years, he made our future years very dangerous.
Islam is a religion of peace. Yep he took it to the bad guys alright. </sarcasm>
You invert cause and effect. Rove is just a symptom of the RINOs who sell out party and country seeking to replace Dem pork with GOP pork. We need to render all their fat hides.
thanks, but the words below the line were a re-post of FReeper “November 2010” who deserves the kudos for such a succinct list
I agree with your post, too
A few years ago the moderates on this board - maybe even you - were calling dissatisfied conservative Freepers 'unappeasables' and the nat'l GOP was telling us 'too bad your guy lost, now get on board'.
Well, things are changing and ya'll need to follow your own advice.
” Rove is an Open Borders Liberal Globalist....he is no conservative...and does not help the conservative cause. “
And he always HAS been a globalist RINO open-borders POS.
Now we need to broom Mitch McConnell, or nothing will be done about Obamacare.
I’ll agree with that...
You'll find that I have either fully supported nominated candidates, or kept my criticisms to myself.
Personally, I think Rove screwed up with his comments about O'Donnell. It looked to me like he was angry more than anything else. He should have kept his mouth shut.
However, watching Freepers trash Rove for doing exactly the same thing they do on a daily basis strikes me as hypocritical. Should you support someone you disagree with because they won the nomination of your party or not?
I believe its the former, because that's how you win elections and stop the Democrats (our real enemy)....if you want to fight for a different candidate in the next primary, fine.
In all fairness, there is a HUGE difference between individuals offering opinions on a conservative political internet forum and a renown Republican rainmaker going on nat'l TV immediately following a primary and trashing his parties candidate.
Calling that a double standard is a bit over the top.
It's still a double standard though....I can do it, but KR can't.
I tend to look at things plainly.
If thats whats necessary to push forward a truly conservative agenda, so be it.
Not all of us.
If thats whats necessary to push forward a truly conservative agenda, so be it.
I'm sorry, but I will never agree that helping a Democrat beat a Republican is in anyway conservative. Of all the RINOs that lost in the last two elections, in part because of "true conservatives" constant criticism hurting their base, every one was replaced by a more liberal Democrat.
Those "conservatives" helped give us a trillion dollar porkulus and Obamacare, neither of which would ever have come to the floor with the Repubs in charge.
Like hell you're not.
Great guns, listen to yourself.
The fact that Christine O Donnell is trailing badly in the polls is simply due to the fact that she is a lousy candidate with no campaign skills and has no clue on what it takes to win election.
It is evident clearly the number of missteps She has done since winning the primary and she is trailing even after raising more money than coons!
Stop whinging and whining about Rove and accept some responsibility for a change, this is about a lousy candidate who is incompetent.
“All Rove has done is help diminish Christine’s chances to get elected...it “
BS! It is Christine o Donnell missteps and absolutely lousy campaigning skills and number of missteps since winning the primary that is behind her poor poll numbers.
Accept some personal responsibility rather than blaming straw men like liberals do.
“All Rove has done is help diminish Christine’s chances to get elected...it “
and making it easy for a marxist to get elected in his place.
As opposed to the Marxist tagalong. Better to have your enemies in front of you than behind you.
If guys like Castle don't need my help they shouldn't whine about it when they don't get it.
Maybe that's a lesson the GOP establishment should take to heart.
Do you actually think the GOP will be able to resist? You seriously don't think they are going to blow it again!
I never said O'Donnell hasn't screwed up...she not a practiced scumbag lying SOB...so of course she is going to make mistakes.
But Rove...well he has attacked her as much as the traitor left in this country...thus he has damaged her chances all because they couldn't get their RINO elected.
Rove is a key element in the disease that is infecting our country...the political establishment is what is destroying this country and that destruction is coming from both parties.
Why don't you wake up and stop drinking the kool-aid that has clearly taken us to where we are today?
Where is Bush coming in this picture? GWB is a good President in some ways and bad in others, overall GWB presidency has positives and America is better for it.
This is about Rove and Christine O Donnell.
Rove’s Crossroads is spending millions on getting conservatives elected.
Christine O Donnell is wasting tea party money and she has run a lousy, horrible and incompetent campaign.
That is the fact, a lousy candidate and a lousy political campaign despite millions in the reason for her bad polls not Rove or any other of the straw man you like to blame.
She has made it easy for Coons since the primary win.
Accept responsibility for it and stop blaming Rove and other strawmen for some who is not skilled in campaigning.
