I’m an Oath Keeper. They can take my babies when they pry them from my cold dead arms. Well, all three of us will be armed anyway (they’re grown men now).

So the entire basis for taking the baby was:

1) Mr. Irish was associated with the Oath Keepers.

2) The cops had been out to his house and didn't like him much.

Sounds about right.

“CONFIRMED: Court Did Rely on Oath Keeper Association to Take Baby”

I am a member of the Oath Keepers. I have a 15 y/o stepdaughter. They can try to take her but we do all shoot recreationally as well as hunt. Good luck with that.

They have the resistance isolated and impotent and we don’t even recognize it.

Instead of Lexington Green or The Alamo, where neighbors assembled locally to make a larger statement, these events show that an isolate-and-fix targets strategy works perfectly for them.

They just pick us off one-by-one, as they paint each victim with “crazy” (Ruby Ridge,) “child abuser” (Waco,) “best for the child” (Elian Gonzales,) “polygamy” (west Texas....)

Mix in a few that are really bad dudes, and everyone gets tarred.

Meanwhile, nobody rallies to direct support....just a bunch of anonymous online rahrahs.

I don’t see a way around it. I thought the internet would enable more awareness, but it seems to me that a place like FR simply provides a release for anger that would otherwise motivate people to get involved.

Tea Party rallies? Has it really helped? Or has it just turned us into activists which take time off work to go make signs and protest just like they do.

So the affidavit lists eleven distinct paragraphs to support the complaint, 9 of these paragraphs are redacted, and we are told they are "private" and "not-relevant" and we are supposed to believe that ONLY paragraph 7 is the reason that the children were taken away?

Really now?

When an un-redacted copy of the affidavit is shown, then I might believe the "OH NOEZ CONSPIWACY" claims. Until those paragraphs are shown, I have no reason to believe any of these assertions.

They (govt) had license to steal kid(s), keep them away from parents, and drag the separation along for months or years while the tedious legal process is used to undo the damages the state has done to the family.

You and I have voted in idiots that allow this abuse.

If your ballot has JUDGE RETENTION VOTES — vote every one of them out of office. NOW, DO IT NOW.

Given Irish’s lengthy criminal/police record, and given the rest of the serious allegations in the affidavit, Oath Keepers (to which I also belong) should seek to have their name removed from this affidavit for two reasons.

1. Oath Keepers is not an organization seeking to “take up arms” and should not be painted with a “radical” image. They are seeking to keep politicians and political appointees honest and following the constitution and seek legal means to do so.

2. Oath Keepers does not want bits name in any way associated with Mr. Irish.

Oath Keepers should use every legal means possible, IMHO, to accomplish these goals. IMHO, Oath Keepers should add a stipulation to it’s joining...that an individual has not been convicted of a felony or is not under any current felon investigation. Probably should add any kind if child abuse conviction or investigation as well.

If they successfully clear up the investigation, join then.

Danger, Stewart Rhodes! You’re being had.

This man Irish is unemployed - neither a policeman, fireman, or military member - and has abused the married woman he lives with AND her two older children. He assaulted and battered this woman while she was pregnant.

Has it occurred to anyone that this just might be a setup used to tarnish the reputation of the Oathkeepers?

This kind of story is geared to getting us worked up, folks. I’m not even going to read about it anymore. Maybe the father’s abusive, maybe the family’s dysfunctional, I don’t know, and I don’t trust any journalist to tell me the straight facts.

That said, if I were the judge in this case, I wouldn’t even allow an affidavit in the record that mentioned the father’s assoc with Oath Keepers. It shouldn’t be in there.

For the record, some of the lowest opinions I have EVER had, are of CPS and their ilk. Only in the most extraordinary circumstances should any govt entity be taking someone’s children away.

I know that there were some Oath keepers that threatened to harm the police in Lower Michigan. Instead they were arrested because of some muslims viewed that they were going to cause death and destruction to them because of their religoius views. SO CPS is called and takes away a child because of his involvement in Oath Keepers. CPS can take a child away if there is a complaint, but there has to be an investigation to see if there is truly a problem. I think there is something more going on than what is being reported. If the cops dislike the guy that is no justification either. We have a lady in the neighborhood that all the cops like a lot. Another cop was the blight officer too, the lazy SOB never did anything as the blight officer. I filed a formal complaint against the blight officer for failure to perform his job. Yes, I am not to well liked by the cops in my area, because that left them one cop short, because the blight officer resigned as blight officer and also as a police officer.. All i did was make a complaint about the blight officer not having the backbone to do his job. He wanted to be a friend to the people in the city. The same goes for the chief of police, he wants to be the people’s friend. Like I reported to the city manager and the Mayor, the city desires a blight officer not another frienmd of the people.

I honestly beleive there is more to this case than what is being reported. I have a neighbor whom has a Personal Protective Order against him by his ex, and I refuse to have anything to do with hime. His children are a piece of work, and they continually come to my house asking for food, tools and so forth. I told them to leave me alone. They refused and a neighbor called to complain on my behalf when the little brats started to steal items from the yard. So the police stepped on the guy and he got mad at me that his children were in trouble with the law because it was my fault that his children got in trouble. The guy came at me when he was drunk, and I called the police and when the police showed up he was striving to beat up an antique vehicle with a sledge hammer.

I have seen this kind of nonsense before, in Montgomery County, NY. The DCFS there was stealing babies from poor parents (the kind who can’t afford a lawyer) and adopting them out to the friends and family of DCFS staff.

As an associate member of Oath Keepers, I am really frightened that the NH DCFS used Oath Keepers as a reason to take the child. Which is obviously the idea; to make people like me run screaming away from Oath Keepers. I ain’t runnin’.
