An eyewitness has come forward in the case of the American who was allegedly attacked by Mexican pirates to claim he saw the man's panicked wife as she fled to the American side of the lake.
"I saw the Jet Ski come around an island," the witness told "Good Morning America." "There was something wrong actually. The way I saw her come around it looked like something terribly wrong happened. I mean, she was jittery, frantic. ... She was crying, sobbing."

Thanks for posting that Joe. It is good to remember just how devious and dishonest the clintons are.
“I mean, she was jittery, frantic. ... She was crying, sobbing.”
How close was this guy to her? Running a jet ski full bore, running for your life, you have both hands on the controls and you’re trying to maintain control. He must have been pretty close. If he was that close did he at some point decide to run for his life too?
Not sure where I stand on this one. Last I heard the cartel has the body. They’ll probably hold if for some sort of ransom.
Either way, this thing isn’t going to end pretty.
Interesting but there are a number of question/responses that the person analyzing the girl says are definitive. But I see them as opinions. But, she doesn't sound all that credible.
Also, in one account she said after trying unsuccessfully to pull her husband onto her jet ski she abandoned him and clambered back on to her jet-ski in a desperate bid to save her own life. Bullets whizzed by her as the pirates opened fire once more, giving chase.
In another account she told of how the pirates drove their boat right up to her and pointed a gun at her head at which point she begged them not to shoot her. They then "decided to leave".
So did she speed away from her husbands body as the pirates shot at her or did they get close enough to her to point their guns at her head while she begged them not to shoot her and only then did they decide to leave?
Like I said, inconsistencies.
She is reported to have (his) blood on her life preserver, corroborating her account of having tried to pull him from the water before being chased off.

I want Dexter. :)
Interesting. Think Obama used this to get Hillary to conceed, knowing she had been cheated out of the nomination for President?
If true, wonder who pulled the trigger for them?
Indeed, statement analysis can be useful and provide many insights to an interviewee's state of mind...particularly in a spontaneous interview. It would however, be interesting to know if Greta or her staff did a pre-interview with Ms. Hartely prior to the aired interview. In such cases, the areas of emphasis and much of the verbiage may not be genuinely the interviewee's but rather the result of steering which took place during a preliminary interview. For example, the person doing the statement analysis points out the seemingly awkward pronouncement about being "on the Mexico side" of the lake so early in the interview. On its face, that is curious and should be considered significant; however, if Greta or one of her staffer's had done a preliminary interview with Hartely and repeatedly asked her which side of the lake she had been on, and made a big deal of that, it would not be unusual for her to emphasize that in the aired interview.
I have no way of knowing if that's the case here, and frankly don't have enough info to feel comfortable making any kind of hard and fast opinion at this point...but regardless of what comes of this, the fall out will be interesting.
A Fishing Paradise Gains a Deadly Reputation

The shooting was the latest in a string of attacks by pirates on the lake that began on April 30. The gangs carry AK-47s and sometimes claim to be Mexican federal police or American game wardens. They have sometimes hijacked high-prowed boats favored by Mexican fishermen and used them to chase down Americans in bass boats, stealing their money at gunpoint.
But Sheriff Sigifredo Gonzalez of Zapata County, on the Texas side of the lake, has said that Mrs. Hartleys story is credible and that the assault is in keeping with other recent robberies, some of which happened in the same part of the lake.
On April 30, for example, two boats carrying five tourists who wanted photographs of the Guerrero church were robbed at gunpoint by four heavily tattooed men in a fishing boat who identified themselves as federales. They demanded cash and even asked, Where are the drugs?
A week later, on May 6, three fishermen were robbed at gunpoint near Salado Island. On May 16, another group of boaters was robbed, again by armed men in a fishing boat on the United States side of the reservoir.
More recently, a gang of pirates in a small boat, with Game Wardin spelled out in duct tape, tried to stop a Texas fisherman, the police said. The Texan figured the misspelled word meant they were not really game wardens and outran them, the police said.
The governor has also staunchly defended Mrs. Hartley against anyone who doubts her account, saying he finds such theories really reprehensible.
Again, I'm not coming down on one side or the other here and without access to more information/evidence than has been released, I don't think anybody should.
“Again, I’m not coming down on one side or the other here and without access to more information/evidence than has been released, I don’t think anybody should.”
The sheriff says her story has checked out. The witness has come forward. There is plenty of other evidence for the same type of attack. If you’re waiting for a body.....Mexico isn’t going to provide the body!
And Chief Moose said the beltway sniper was a white guy in a panel van. I've been law enforcement, and work with them often enough to know that they get things wrong...especially in insurance fraud scams. A lot of innocent people get tickets for following too close from well meaning and well intended cops, when in fact they have been set up by a staged accident ring. It happens.
Now, I have to assume the sheriff here is privy to a lot of evidence that has not been released. If you look at my comments elsewhere, I've even cited that as a cautionary warning to people who are ready to convict her, and the sheriff could very well be right.
For all we know, she may have the attack on video. However, as I've said before, and repeat here, that with the information currently in the public domain, I think anybody would be foolish to attest to, or impeach the women's credibility.
“Either way, this thing isnt going to end pretty.”
This one could end up on TruTV Forensic Files. They do need some new material; I’m tired of the repeats.
“I think anybody would be foolish to attest to, or impeach the women’s credibility.”
Correct! But Gov. Goodhair stuck out his neck in attesting to her side of the story. Does he know something as well?
If her story is true, does this mean that rafters near Santa Elena Canyon need to stay on one side of the river or risk similar fate? jk
Anybody with a lick of sense would avoid crooked/violent Mexico like the plague. What we need is a Prez with cojones who will tell the Mex govt. that if anybody from their country violates our territory or citizens, we will come across the border and take care of it if they can’t.
For his sake, I hope so. If this turns out to be a scam, not only will Perry have egg on his face, but we'll be bending over backwards apologizing to the Mexicans...maybe even another beer summit coupled with amnesty. At this point in time, my slight lean towards believing Hartley's story is based almost exclusively on the public pronouncements of those who do (or should) have access to all the available info that hasn't been made public.

Say what you will about Woodrow Wilson (and I detest the man), at least he didn't have a problem taking the leash of off Pershing.
