O'Donnell: 'God's Keeping Me in the Race'

In an exclusive interview with CBN News, Delaware Republican Senate candidate Christine O'Donnell said God is keeping her in the race.

She made the statement before she stopped doing interviews at the advice of Tea Party power broker Sarah Palin.

One month ago, O'Donnell was a struggling Senate candidate. She had barely raised $250,000 in her primary run against established Republican Mike Castle.

Now she's a household name, Delaware's Republican Senate nominee, and the new darling of America's Tea Party movement.

"We have got to fight. We have got to fight to defend our liberty -- to defend our freedoms regardless of the personal cost," O'Donnell said. "That's how we're going to get our country back on track."

Apparently she made no public appearances over the weekend and her campaign won't respond to requests for her upcoming schedule.

There is a candidate forum on Oct 9th in Newark with WDEL talk radio personalities moderating and she hasn't confirmed she'll be there. Even this CBN interview was taped weeks ago.

O'Donnell needs to start executing a ground game in Delaware if she expects a shot at winning.

O’Donnell needs less reliance on divine intervention and more reliance on good old fashioned retail politics. Where is her ground game in Delaware?

I was at a wedding {between a man and a woman} over the weekend and talked with a friend that lives in Wilmington.

He and his wife {a doctor} are very conservative and he told me Coons lives one block from them and is a real asshole.

This guy is very pro O'Donnell so he can't be objective, but he was real high on her chances.

Or maybe they are not all that illogical, since Obama believes in Allah, and O’Donnell believes in the Christian God—which is to say, the real God.

She has $2.6 M in the bank, she has a huge ground game and will be able to cover the state 100's of times before election time. The Dems and media are scared to death of her getting elected.
