Here’s how I know that Barney Frank’s re-election race is tighter than he’d like.

Yesterday I asked him some questions. I was bracing to get hammered by his reply.

This time, though, he didn’t tell me I was asking something dumb. He didn’t get mad. He didn’t lecture me on what I should be asking instead.

What’s up? My guess: Barney’s on good behavior because the country’s angry. Lots of voters in his typically adoring 4th District are angry too...

I thought about posting this when I read it this morning. Keep in mind that Marjy is a lib, one of the few on the Herald staff.

I’m seeing signs pop up for Bielat in the district (I work in Foxboro).

His internal polls have him within 10 points of Madam Frank.

It will be a stunner. I remember looking at Scott Brown's numbers from Barney's district after the election. Scott Brown took it by 3000 votes if my memory is correct, it is really do-able.

Barney is an arrogrant smart @$$. It may take years (i.e. a new admin/AG) , but at somepoint IMHO he Dodd, and the whole cast of characters need to stand and be charged for what they did to the economy via the banking meltdown through CRA/Fannie-Freddie.
