Conservatives denounce GOP 'Pledge' as sellout, inside job
The Daily Caller ^ | 9/25/10 | Jon Ward

House Republicans have been relatively successful this week at presenting a united front around their “Pledge to America,” but only through a strategic outreach campaign to lawmakers, media and outside groups, that has managed to keep deep dissatisfaction over several key issues largely under wraps.

Still, interviews with Republican aides reveal that many in the GOP caucus are unhappy that there was no earmark ban and no promise to pass a balanced budget amendment in the proposal, which was unveiled Thursday by House Minority Leader John Boehner. The inclusion of a health insurance provision considered to be mandate angered many conservative lawmakers.

Do you always just make things up so you can pretend to be a 'conservative' on the internet?

You clearly have difficulty with reality, so you will be returned to my 'Do Not Disturb' list as someone who has personal issues that are best avoided.

Good luck with your life, Av. In the mean time, try focusing on the real issues, the real enemy, the real RINO's and the truth. As long as you flail, whine about being attacked while you alone are attacking, and call people goofy names that bear no relationship to the truth, you will just be flailing.

The fight for this country is on, and I, along with millions of conservatives, and the majority of freepers, am fighting it. It might make you feel better if you join us in fighting the enemy and stop calling other conservatives names without a thought in your head.

It just makes you look silly.

It’s a step in the right direction: dismantling this mass
of socialist legislation is going to take a while.

“Sorry Tea Party Believers”?
So you are admitting that you are here to try and discourage what you obviously do not understand.
Obviously the Tea Party scares you.

Specifically, the people do.

I would submit this as Exhibit A, your Honor, in the case of DUavenger. Even the questions it asks are identical to what comes out of the mouths of lib Dems?!

I agree that they never left, but as far as who is in control...seems that would depend on who can get candidates elected. Ultimately, if the GOP doesn't move over for Tea Party candidates they'll move over for a Tea Party and go the way of the Whig party.

What will the Tea party do when the GOP goes back to business as usual? How is it different than any other grassroots org in that respect?

It depends on how obvious and extreme it is, but if it's blatant and the republicans just push RINO's, I, for one, won't vote for any of them...the net effect will be, the republicans will be endorsing democrat candidates.

I can't speak for how others will respond, but I'd shift 100% of my efforts to an independent party movement in such a case.

The system is broken, and as I see it, we are facing the last few elections that have even a chance of saving the republic.

So I guess the question is, what will the republican establishment value most, the nation or the hopes of retaining power just for the purposes of self enrichment...which makes them no different the the democrats?

Don’t worry your little troll head over it.
They’re going to be voted out.
The GOP as you know it is extinct.
It is screaming trying to protect teh status quo.
But in NY when they backed DeeDee Scazzfava over the better candidate, it showed all that the GOP is simply a Dem with an “R” attached.
