Titanic Sinking Was Falsified
Yahoo ^ | Today | Mike Collet-White Edited:Paul Casciato

The Titanic hit an iceberg in 1912 because of a basic steering error, and only sank as fast as it did because an official persuaded the captain to continue sailing, an author said in an interview published on Wednesday.

Louise Patten, a writer and granddaughter of Titanic second officer Charles Lightoller, said the truth about what happened nearly 100 years ago had been hidden for fear of tarnishing the reputation of her grandfather, who later became a war hero.

Lightoller, the most senior officer to have survived the disaster, covered up the error in two inquiries on both sides of the Atlantic because he was worried it would bankrupt the ill-fated liner's owners and put his colleagues out of a job.

Virtually nothing the British Government has ever professed would ever stand in the light of day.

The Jews sank the Titanic.

Wait, I thought it was an iceberg.

Iceberg, Greenberg, Goldberg...what’s the difference?

“Instead of steering Titanic safely round to the left of the iceberg, once it had been spotted dead ahead, the steersman, Robert Hitchins, had panicked and turned it the wrong way.”

FAIL!

One thing’s for sure, Jack Johnson didn’t do it...

from “The Ballad of the USS Titanic” by Jamie Brockett:

It was midnight on the sea,
the band was playin’ “Nearer My God To Thee”
Fare thee well Titanic,
fare thee well.
Now he wouldn’t let Jack Johnson on board
they said this ship don’t haul no coal
Fare thee well Titanic,
fare thee well.

That’s the true story of the Titanic, folks. She went right to the bottom. She took with her all the Jewish people, all the first mates. She took with him the Captain. She took with him the land lubbers. She took with him the masked marvel comic books, the tennis racquet and four hundred n’ ninety-seven n’ a half feet o’ rope.

"Patten, who made the revelations to coincide with the publication of her new novel "Good as Gold" into which her account of events are woven, said that the conversion from sail ships to steam meant there were two different steering systems."

Bergdar alerted.

It hit a grassy knoll, and they’ll never admit it

FTFA: Patten, who made the revelations to coincide with the publication of her new novel "Good as Gold" into which her account of events are woven, said that the conversion from sail ships to steam meant there were two different steering systems. Crucially, one system meant turning the wheel one way and the other in completely the opposite direction.

Love the timing of the revelation. WTF about the steering? I don't know squat about ships, but is that right? Were the junior crew-members really coming from sail ships by 1912? Sounds absolutely bizarre - any FReepers have an informed view?

Dead man tell no tales....

She said if they had gone dead in the water, the ship would have sunk several hours later than it did. She tells it like it is new information.

Also turn right, turn left and the 4 minutes wouldn't be new information either.

She's just trying to sell a book...and this is her 15 minutes.

We own the book titled, ‘A Night To Remember’, by Walter Lord

The author conducted extensive research on the sinking of the Titanic, and interviewed over 60 crew members, including officers. Lord’s research contradicts Patten’s claims.

Has anyone ever seen the Titanic’s birth certificate? Or the Captains’? I thought not.

My bro and I discuss events he's experienced....particularly about being on watch...tough life.
