House Republicans just released a draft of their legislative agenda for the next Congress, a 21-page "Pledge to America" that they will formally unveil Thursday morning at a Virginia hardware store.
"The need for urgent action to repair our economy and reclaim our government for the people cannot be overstated," the introduction says.
It continues: "With this document, we pledge to dedicate ourselves to the task of reconnecting our highest aspirations to the permanent truths of our founding by keeping faith with the values our nation was founded on, the principles we stand for, and the priorities of our people. This is our Pledge to America."

Hopefully, it will END several thousand government positions....
How about environmental regulation reform. It sure is needed.
That is beyond the power of congress assuming they even took control of both houses.
It is not possible for them to achieve a large enough majority to overwrite a Veto.
Yep.
As I read through it, all I could think was “there’s a whole lot of talkin’ goin’ on here... and not a lot of movement.”
I seriously doubt that they’re ready to put action behind all these flowery words.
I NB that they are utterly silent on the corruption in the financial system.
Amen!
I’m working on a fairly complex response to you. I’ll have it ready later today.
This is a draft, so perhaps they will heed your advice and correct it. It’s strange with all the millions they through around they don’t have someone on the payroll to proof read these important presentations.
Your problem appears to be that you believe ONE individual working alone can make the changes necessary. they cannot. And before any changes are affected there must be a road map, a plan to use as a guide. What we see here is their “plan” and as it also says they are “committed to each other” to get it done, so that makes it a cooperative effort.
They are ALL crooks.
No, my problem can be easily summed up in three letters . . . G.O.P!
The track record of the "GOP" says they are not to be trusted, en masse, with their "____________ with America" promises.
What I am saying is:
Anything else is just establishment/"progressive" smoke & mirrors.
60+ years of NEA rot in the public schools and you are expecting proper English?
$1.3 trillion in deficit and $100 billion in cuts???? Wow! This aught to do it!
Deserves repeating: “It looks like a good start to me. Excellent in fact. Especially love page 4. They are going to put the brakes on the balding marxist...Sustein and his secretive shove regulations. Thats enough to get me excited..plus we all know the congressional investigations are coming if we win. All of the democrats abuse of powers, dereliction of duty and high crimes and misdemeanors are going to come spilling out into the public square!”
Am I missing the parts about defunding the oppressive Czars and their agencies? I would like to see theOne’s travel & entertainment budget reined in as well!

Billions sent world wide for rebuilding mosques and oil drilling money for Mexico and Brazil, education for men in Africa to wash their genitalia after having coitus to prevent the spread of AIDS.
