LOS ANGELES (Reuters) Singer Lady Gaga released a video on Friday urging members of the Senate and her "fellow Americans" to help repeal the military rule banning openly gay people from serving in the armed forces.... Calling the law unconstitutional, she urged her fans to call senators in their district. She also asked followers on Twitter to make their own videos supporting equal rights.

This "Gaga" creature is a joke but apparently the issue is really going to hit the fan in the coming days -- Senate may be close to approving language for repeal of the "don't ask don't tell" rule and House is already onboard. Naturally there's no doubt about where the WH stands so we are on the verge of gays serving openly in the military???????

What is a “Lady Gaga”? Is it a boy or a girl? Is it very very liberal so it wants to make a stand for homosexual rights? Does it care that it turns off big portions of the potential audience by taking the liberal side on an issue?
To: illiac
I will second that!
The broad is a ditz.

Someone on another thread mentioned that her original success was found with a homosexual audience. That might at least partly explain her position regarding DADT. I don’t know why entertainers think that their opinions are meaningful.

Who cares what a clown says about how our military functions.
Who cares what this androgynous freak thinks.
I will quote a real woman and tell Lady Gaga to shut up and sing.

I don’t care what she says per se — the point of posting this thread is that there is a concerted campaign underway that is very close to “success” in their terms — after the coming week “don’t ask don’t tell” may be history and the Obamanation will be enforcing military discipline against anyone in the services who questions the new policy.

"...to call senators in their district." Sounds as though somebody isn't very familiar with how the government is set up. I'm clueless as to who my district senator is. However, the senators may want to get used to being called "dude". Ya hear that Boxer?
