Still grappling with his shocking primary defeat, Rep. Mike Castle (R-Del.) said Thursday that he will not endorse GOP Senate nominee Christine O'Donnell because he could not tolerate some of the "personal smears" he faced during the campaign.
Castle has spent the past 36 hours fielding phone calls and pats on the back from well-wishing colleagues and other politicians, including President Obama, Vice President Biden, House Minority Leader John A. Boehner (R-Ohio) and dozens of others. He said that he was coming to grips with the reasons for his defeat - a conservative rebellion in the southern portion of the state that was given extra ammunition by Sarah Palin's endorsement of O'Donnell. But he said that there probably wasn't enough time in the next six weeks for him to get over some of the attacks lobbed in the contest.

Castle is going to Disneyland with Charlie Crist!!!
Then the more reason for Castle to come out and endorse O’Donnell.
Some one doesn’t want to play ball.
Great, thank you SO MUCH.
Now I’ll have to gouge my eyes out.
Could you at least give a warning or something.
Whatever happens in November, the voters did us a favor by ridding us of this guy. He lacks character.
Sad thing is, the guy probably is really, truly hurt over his ouster because his life’s entire meaning was wrapped in all of the years he spent in DC.
HAHAHAHAHA Good one!
Nope. He will get that paycheck the rest of his life.
What an O-hole!
Castle is mad right now, but notice Coons asked for his endorsement but didn’t get it.
Castle is too upset to help O’Donnell, but I don’t think he’ll help Coons.
Its rather an understatement. The movement that ousted this Castle clown extends somewhat further than the southern portion of one of the US’s smallest states.
It’s not a pretty sight when the good old boys who’ve felt entitled for decades suddenly have their ‘entitlement’ taken away before they wanted to give it up.
SO long as he doesn’t campaign for the Democrat, what do we care?
Why would we WANT The endorsement of a liberal republican? Wouldn’t that suggest our candidate was acceptable to a guy that was unacceptable for our party?
I will be grateful to Castle if he does us the courtesy of going quietly into the night, without causing any trouble.
Another Idiot spouting idiocy...apparently, the CastleRINOidiot has no mirrors in his home.....given the sheer amount of “smears” he utilized to see her go down.... =.=
On the one hand, of course Castle looks (and is) ridiculous for not issuing even a pro forma endorsement. (I say “pro forma” because no one reasonably expected him to be ENTHUSIASTIC or to campaign for O’Donnell much.)
On the other hand, he’s got no political reason to make nice. His (elective) political career is almost certainly over; he’s headed for lobbyist-land or w/e. So why should he care about what mere voters think?
I think she said his ATTACKS on her were unmanly, but I’m not positive.
We need a poll for this turd:
What kind of panties does he wear?
Boxers
Briefs
or Thong
No conservative will ever vote for him for anything again.
I can tell you from personal experience that when a conservative looses in a primary, there is INCREDIBLE pressure on them to forcefully endorse the winner, give them all the aid, make appearances to your supporters on their behalf, etc. for a squish/RINO.
A friend of mine who ran for congress (won in ‘94), lost in the primary in ‘90. In no uncertain terms, the major politicians throughout the state and the state party all but threatened him to back the primary winner 100%. The thing is, he lost anyway, and the supporters never bought into it.
Now, contrast that with Scuzzyfuzzy, Crist, Castle, Murkowski and the other squishes who NEVER act like adults and support conservatives.
“I guess we now know the reasons for the commication between Biden, Obama and Castle right after his defeat!”
I’ve been saying it (ad-nauseum)for a couple of years...
Thank you Mr. Castle - for finally showing all of us where your allegiances are.
Sorry, but couldn’t help saying that...
Nope - that is why he called his master Obama.
They ran the numbers - If he runs, O’Donnell wins for sure!
he only splits the Dem vote.
