GAINESVILLE - FBI agents visited today with a minister of a small Florida church that plans to burn the Quran on Sept. 11, as public safety became a paramount concern and President Barack Obama added his voice to the chorus of opposition. Elsewhere, hundreds of angry Afghans burned an American flag and chanted "Death to the Christians" to protest the planned burning of Islam's holiest text. Obama urged the Rev. INTERPOL Issues Alert in Response to Planned Koran Burning
Today INTERPOL has issued a global alert to its 188 member countries that, if the proposed Koran burning by a pastor in the US goes on as planned, there is a strong likelihood that violent attacks on innocent people would follow. This alert was requested by Pakistan’s Minister of the Interior, and was also issued by the organization’s own determinism.
Minister Rehman Malik himself contacted INTERPOL secretary General Ronald K. Noble in order to engage the global police body’s assistance in warning law enforcement of the increased terrorist threats if the plans which were reported by the media to burn the holy book were carried out on Saturday’s anniversary of the Semptember 11 attacks.
“One of INTERPOL’s primary functions is to prevent crime, and given that we have been made aware of a significant threat to public safety – an assessment which we share – it is our duty to ensure that we pass this information on to law enforcement agencies around the globe so that they can take appropriate measures,” said INTERPOL Secretary General Ronald K. Noble.
There are no specific details of what kind of terror attacks would follow if the Koran burning goes ahead as planned, however, there will be tragic consiquences if it does happen, adds Noble.
The whole Koran buring plan is in itself absurd, after all, it’s a Pastor planning it. In the Bible it says, “Love thy neighbor as thyself.” This means that burning the Koran would be going against his own values.

Impressive point. I think that’s why the media is SO outraged and making this into such an issue, along with the brainless entertainers. If this were a member of PETA or an established Liberal celebrity or a liberal democrat, the press would be drooling/rallying around him/her. They would be cheering him/her on.
The only reason I think that entertainers would support the war is if their own kids got hurt.

I hold my nose and attend a nondenominational church, but walk out of a service or just don't go whenever I feel led. I learn way more with my own studies anyhow. Any church you go to will have a mixture of good information along with shameless brainwashing. The percentages of each vary of course. Most are a glorified country club/ponzi scam reflecting the values and intellect (or lack thereof) of its patrons.
Now the NY iman is saying he will not move the mosque. Yet another lesson in Islamist provocation..yet somehow it is this quran burning preacher that got put on the hot seat by the prez and the media(not the Iman). The same media that wanted to publish all the so called pics of ‘torture’ at Abu Graib and Gitmo while Bush was prez, but now claim they will not publish any video or pics of a Quran burning because they don’t want to incite violence or harm to our troops. WTH ???

I find Foxnews more and more annoying. I hate their morning shows, they tend toward adolescent humor, Hooters girls, porn stars and such and keep people like Geraldo and O’Really on the payroll. I like a lot of what Beck has to offer (altho he can also be annoying) and Stossel and the Judge are good, but really, they aren’t great they are just better than the rest of what’s out there. The problem is, I don’t want to be entertained, I want to be informed. I can do that better online.
