Many Liberals Reject Markos Moulitsas's Anti-Conservative Book Max Fisher Max Fisher Thu Sep 2, 8:06 am ET
WASHINGTON, DC A number of liberal writers are condemning American Taliban, the just-released book by prominent liberal blogger and political organizer Markos Moulitsas. Moulitsas, also known as Kos and the chief of prominent website Daily Kos, argues in his book that elements of the U.S. conservative movement are akin to the Taliban, a militant terrorist group responsible for thousands of deaths in Afghanistan and Pakistan. Some liberals--though certainly not all--think that's a bad idea. Here's why.
The book's official description reads, "America's primary international enemy--Islamic radicalism--insists on government by theocracy, curtails civil liberties, embraces torture, represses women, wants to eradicate homosexuals from society, and insists on the use of force over diplomacy. Remind you of a certain American political party? In American Taliban, Markos Moulitsas pulls no punches as he compares how the Republican Party and Islamic radicals maintain similar worldviews and tactics. Moutlitsas also challenges the media, fellow progressives, and our elected officials to call the radical right on their jihadist tactics more forcefully for the good of our nation and safety of all citizens."

This is what happens when a one-dimensional thinker tries to participate in a 3-D world.
...and its just a small step to start killing conservatives. First you marginalize then you de-humanize...then you start the killing. This book is a study in projection.
Last time I checked, killing the Infidels (i.e. Democrats) is not a “legitimate tenet” of the Republican Party, but we can propose it at the next convention if that would make Kos happy.
You said it.
At least the Discovery gunman had six or seven insane agenda items in his manifesto. Kos is trying to pound away with just one.
I’ll bet that book sells dozens of copies.
Exactly.
Notice how four of the five reviews *compared* his book to the book “Liberal Fascism”?
In a way, this is much like the *technique* used by Islamist apologists who, when asked to denounce “Islamic terror”, instead denounce “all terrorism”. Even when pressed, they will not now or ever denounce “Islamic terrorism” by itself.
If Kos’s book is reprehensible, it is reprehensible on its own terms, despite what someone else said in another book. Yes, there are many bad books out there, but this is not about them.
Unbelievable. These people are deranged. Honestly, even if we can effect huge political gains in November, I don't know how we can overcome the 40% or so of the voting population that is absolutely crazy, and would love nothing better than a dictatorship.
I’d even go a few hundred, since most of the moonbats will buy spare copies, and one for their imaginary friend.
Wow - well put!
The Taliban worships a false god.
And if you challenge that we'll cut off your head and slander anyone who defends you.!"
Fact is, the Left is fast approaching being every bit as demanding of complete compliance as those they love to accuse Conservatives of modeling.

A review thread at The Ant Farm might provide some comedy, eh?
OH, I hope this author gets lots of TV time, so folks can start looking at the most vocal liberals in a whole new, and likely less approving, way.
This was one of those fantasy-world inhabitants who were convinced that Bush was attempting to establish a theocracy. I’ve never read anything funnier than their earnest insistence that theirs is a “reality-based” approach. It’s a “let’s-pretend” approach and most normal people give it up around age ten.
I've been on FR a number of years now. I think it's safe to say that FR is as solid a bedrock conservative site as there is on the internet. Not once have I encountered a post that advocates "government by theocracy." Markos is a whiny and dishonest brat, and smear merchant. In other words, your typical far-left loon.
LOL yeah Markos 40 years of liberal reign will come up a few years short.
