Estimates Vary Of Glenn Beck Rally Attendance (Sharpton draws several hundred-heheh!)

Estimating attendance at political rallies and demonstrations is a notoriously imprecise science. Glenn Beck’s “Restore America” rally at the foot of the Lincoln Memorial has been variously estimated from 87,000 by the Huffington Post, 300,000 by NBC News and the New York Times and 500,000 by rally organizers. Sky News concurred with rally organizers in estimating attendance at 500,000.

A counter rally led by Al Sharpton was estimated to have drawn several hundred people.

I keep thinking the aerial photos done by CBS’ subcontractor at the Beck rally were a bit cropped...for precisely that reason — to make the crowd appear smaller. But I have a much wider angle view (courtesy of other FReepers) that gives you a much better idea of the crowd. Once again, CBS is a purveyor of propaganda.

I do have to say though that what little of the CBS coverage I saw had a commentator say that this rally will have a huge impact on the November elections. I’m sure that possibility has all the Obama shills in the media taking antacids. That is something they cannot spin.

The Sharpton gathering was a literal “joke”!!! It actually did more damage to his causes and aided the good guys!!! Obama is a failed POTUS and the entire USA knows it, sans, that awful low turnout and insult to a real American patriot and freedom champion, Dr. Martin Luther King!!! It also does not escape notice that for all this *we hold this rally every year* bidness from Sharpie, I don't recall the major networks, cable included, giving him this kind of press coverage, nor does CSPAN have a camera there. I do know I hear about the ride on the Freedom Train mentioned, but that is a blip story, not this ridiculous flaunting.
