WASHINGTON — An enormous and impassioned crowd rallied at the steps of the Lincoln Memorial on Saturday, summoned by Glenn Beck, a conservative broadcaster who called for a religious rebirth in America at the site where the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. delivered his famous “I Have a Dream” speech 47 years ago to the day.
“Something that is beyond man is happening,” Mr. Beck said in opening the event as the crowd thronged near the memorial grounds. “America today begins to turn back to God.”
It was part religious revival, part history lecture, as Mr. Beck invoked the founding fathers and the “black-robed regiment” of pastors of the Revolutionary War and spoke of American exceptionalism.

Officials do not make crowd estimates because they are unreliable and can be controversial, but event organizers put the number of attendees at 500,000; NBC News said it was closer to 300,000, but by any measure it was a large turnout. The crowd stretched from the Lincoln Memorial to the Washington Monument.

That is so much crap and totally NOT what he said. He and his wife BOTH became Mormon together......... and SO WHAT! People like you should worry about the atheists who want to remove GOD from every part of this country and lay off people like Beck who is trying to live a good life with his wife and kids...
You obviously missed the whole point. Beck specifically made a point about the many different religions represented on the stage behind him... many, Christians, Jews, Muslims... and he emphasized “BIG” core differences... but as long as the religion was one of peace and not killing others then we can ALL focus on the big item which was restoring honor.

Not to add fuel to your fire because Roman Christianity is so full of pagan doctrines and traditions but Mormons say Jesus is a brother to Lucifer.
Biblical Hebrew Faith, the one taught and practiced by ALL of the apostles and Paul teaches that Jesus is fully God and fully man. He is part of the Godhead or Elohim.
Mormons do not believe that. Roman Christianity teaches that.
I am a Catholic (in case you didn't make it to my tag line) and I think that we Catholics need to think long and hard about our everyday witness. I don't blame Glen. I don't blame the Mormons. I blame me.
We must all decide if a civil society is God’s Will. . .if we agree that it is God’s will that America should be a civil society. . .then ANYONE who is working toward that end is doing God’s will. There is no question in my mind that Beck was used by God in a mighty way today. . .don’t limit what God can do, even through sinners. . .remember, some of the first people to be lead to the feet of Christ. . were neither Jew nor Christian. . .were probably Zoroastrians from the East. . the wise men. . yet they were able to divine the presence of Christ. . .God is bigger. . .even bigger than your doctrine about him.
The true church is not a name, it is comprised of all born-again believers in Jesus Christ. She is called the “bride of Christ.”
While your analysis may be correct, the Mormon church uses some of the same key words as evangelical Christians, however, when one delves deeper, they have a different meaning to them. For instance, did you know the Mormons believe that Jesus and Satan are brothers?
Their belief in the blood of Christ shed for our sins is not the same as what most of us believe.
I had a very good friend who is a Mormon and he and I used the same terminology, however, when getting into the meat of scripture - there is a very distinct difference in truth.

No Mormon here, but I would much prefer to be surrounded by Mormons than muslims or liberals or nobama supporters.

We had a great day for conservatism, community and Christianity by Americans of many different Christian brands, creeds and races coming together.

We just get awfully tired of your little closed group getting your panties in a twist anytime a great man like Glenn Beck who also happens to be a Mormon does something positive and worthwhile.
By their fruits ye shall know them. Why is the only fruits your group are apparently capable of producing is rotten eggs? What does that tell us?

This is a game changer.
Instead of working on a party-versus-party level to affect and control government, we will go to the religious level — via all religions — to make God the focus of our actions, and the driver our social contract. Government gets its power from God, via our willingness to put allegiance to Him ahead of allegiance to government.
Perhaps you should ask, "What did you do to Mormons to make you so bitter?"
