ABC Newss Claire Shipman filed a report this morning on Good Morning America about Glenn Becks Restoring Honor rally, which featured Reverend Walter Fauntroy We are going to take on the barbarism of war, the decadence of racism, and the scourge of poverty, that the Ku Klux I meant to say the Tea Party you all forgive me, but I you have to use them interchangeably. On his radio show, Beck slammed the ABC story, comparing it to Something Goebbels would do.
Rev. Fauntroy, a former non-voting delegate for Washington D.C, was speaking during an appearance at the National Press Club, when he misspoke. And while his clarification may have been said in jest as his defenders will likely claim, they is little question that the words he chose are inflammatory at best, and irresponsible at worst...
Glenn Beck shot back at ABC News, for what he deemed to be a one-sided portrayal of his Restoring Honor rally planned for this Saturday. Scott Whitlock reports for NewsBusters:
On his radio show, Friday, Beck complained about the hatchet job. Shipman clearly distorted the context. He actually said, Whites dont own Abraham Lincoln. Blacks dont own Martin Luther King. Those are American icons, American ideas and we should just talk about character. (H/T to The Right Scoop and Noel Sheppard.)
Playing the segment on the radio, Beck hyperbolically declared, Thats what Goebbels did. The truth didnt matter. Now, while ABC should be criticized for the dishonest editing job, it is over-the-top to play the Nazi card.
The bare facts aren't hyperbole.
Are you actually trying to say that there is a comparison due between the KKK and the Tea Parties?
The left is afraid- the Tea Parties and Beck scare them to death. The way Americans are waking up is scaring them even more.
The more they scream, and the louder, the more effective the right can consider itself (and when I speak of conservatives, I do not mean the republican party apparatus).
The left is seeing its own demise.
The media is stoking the flames of racism and violence in this country. They won’t be happy until there’s blood in the streets, our blood.
I pray tomorrow is peaceful, I know they’ll do their best to ensure it’s not.
The left is browning their depends. They have never seen the normal people get so riled and actually go in the streets and hold up signs! They are afraid that the normal people will actually go out and vote for normal people!
The only thing the left is skilled at is trashing normal people.
It is completely lost on this asshat Fauntroy that a bulk of the KKK were Democrats! One need look no further than late Sen. Robert “KKK” Byrd for evidence of racism and affiliation with those groups.
Whew!
This has the rats in a frenzy and there is nothing they can say or do about it.
Each time ABC News does this type of reporting, they lose credibility. Their credibility is already in the toilet, so they may feel they have nothing to lose. That this could have got by the producers and editors at ABC is unbelievable. The networks are digging their graves.
They always have to make it fit into the Liberal Mass Media Template:
1)All wars are Viet Nam.
2)All marches on Washington not done by Minorities are the KKK march of 1925.
3)All recessions are the Great Depression.
4)Every problem must be solved by more government.
5) Anybody who complains about Taxes or Spending by Government is a racist, homophobe, angry Caucasian.
About those guillotines...
The fear being displayed by the MSM and the Democrats of the Tea Party and Palin is beyond remarkable!
Caught a bit of ABC Nightline last evening. Same thing regarding the GZ mosque in NYC — attack on the Muslim cabbie was “the inevitable result of Islamophobic opposition to the mosque near Ground Zero.”
Nightline was apparently was a rehash of what played earlier on the ABC evening news. See the Newsbusters link:
Let’s call a racist spade a racist spade. Period.
.......... living proof that there’s no cure for stupid ,,, laughable ,,, like comparing the NAACP with the Black Panthers ,,, well maybe that’s a bad example too !!!
