So much for freedom of speech.
So much for freedom of assembly.
Americans are hungry to reclaim the symbols of our liberty, hard won by an unlikely group of outnumbered, outgunned, underfunded patriots determined not to live in servitude to the British Empire. If we want to sing the national anthem at a memorial to the man who led this fledgling nation out of slavery, and made my people free, we should be able to send our voices soaring to the heavens.
Glenn Becks Rally to Restore Honor this Saturday will give us that chance, and thats why I feel its important for me to be there.

How many will show up?
I think it already happened...
No, it's tomorrow.
There's already a running thread from people who have arrived in DC, and are reporting on the setup.
I hope millions will
Or an Auntie Jemima?
They have already accused her of trying to hijack the Civil Rights Movement.
“How could you do this to Martin’s memory?”
“Race traitor!”
“Just how much did the Vast Rightwing Conspiracy pay you?”
Ms. King is probably hearing these and more, right now.
I heard enough of Beck on the way in to know that her daughter fears for her life. The nature of that fear makes me wonder once more if the King killing was arranged by his associates because he was not going the Socialist route they wanted to take. But then, my tinfoil hat might be slipping.
No, I meant “calling her an uncle Tom” already happened. The Rally is tomorrow - I know that because I’ll be there!
There were over 2 million in DC last year for the rally.
On Saturday, Uncle Martins dream of personhood and human dignity will resound across America. And the Park Police should consider themselves forewarned: As we stand in the symbolic shadow of the great American who signed the Emancipation Proclamation, we just might sing.
I hope and pray you do, Ms. King!
Lift every voice and sing, till earth and Heaven ring...
Finances are keeping me away, but I will be with everybody there in spirit and prayer.
Dr. Alveda King notes, Abortion has done what the Klan only dreamed of.
(Im a big fan of Dr. Alveda King and Im happy to see her ideas and beliefs getting so much exposure.)
I predict a record crowd. I’m not aware of the âlast yearâ rally where the were over 2,000,000. I know Promise Keepers drew a huge crowd. I have been hearing for months about buses being chartered to the point where there really aren’t any more. When all those disgorge, it will swamp the Mall. Glory Hallelujah! I hope it is carried on C-SPAN and other outlets. The media and National Park Service will low ball the crowd numbers, but they allow Farrakan’s “Million Man March” to stand as an historical fact!

The latest from behind enemy lines:
One of their co-hort “Reverends” is frantically begging for money this morning.
Here’s what I recieved in my email box just now from one of B.O.’s main “spiritual advisers”, the Marxist “Rev” Jim Wallis http://blog.sojo.net/ :

Subject: Glenn Beck is no Dr. King
Dear [...],
We wont let Glenn Beck cast a dark shadow over Kings I Have a Dream speech.
Were sharing the message.
Give now!
Last spring Fox News commentator Glenn Beck told Christians to leave churches that promoted social justice. To do so, Christians would have to walk out on Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.s I Have a Dream speech too. Dr. King was a social justice Christian, the kind of Christian Mr. Beck constantly derides.
Tomorrow marks the 47th anniversary of Dr. Kings I Have A Dream speech. And, if youre in Washington, D.C., youll see Glenn Beck standing on the historic location of Kings speech only Mr. Beck will be leading his Restoring Honor rally.
I want to challenge Christians to understand the true significance of Kings speech for our work on social justice, for racial reconciliation, and for the health of the American church.
Sojourners has been working hard to make sure that Christians understand the prophetic power of Kings I Have a Dream speech, and we need your support.
Tomorrow I will speak at Celebrate the Dream, a dedication ceremony for a work of public art that commemorates the words and legacy of Dr. King, in the face of Mr. Becks challenge of civil rights history with his own I have a plan speech.
Read our Gods Politics blog series on The Legacy of Martin Luther King - with favorite blog writers Vincent Harding, Valerie Elverton Dixon, and Troy Jackson - on how Kings legacy has impacted their own social justice work.
Also, we have uploaded a free online version of a new Sojourners magazine article by civil rights leader Dr. Vincent Harding, called Revisiting (and Revisioning?) Kings I Have a Dream Speech.
I know youll want to read these articles on the Gods Politics blog and on our website. But before you do that, support this work.
Were invested in standing with our sisters and brothers in the civil rights movement and in addressing the challenges that Mr. Beck aims at Sojourners and me. When I remember that Dr. Martin Luther King would also have been a Beck target up on his infamous blackboard too I know that I am in good company.
With Sojourners media credibility and profile, our strong coalitions of faith leaders, and dedicated readers like you, we can address the brash lies told by Glenn Beck and invite a more civil dialogue one that does not drive people to fear and division, but one that is inspired by hope and the biblical call to racial reconciliation and social justice, care for the poor, prophetic advocacy, and personal and social transformation in Christ.
We have reached out to Mr. Beck with an invitation to civil dialogue, but until he responds, we cannot remain silent. Sojourners will speak truth against his allegations, and we refuse to let Mr. Becks rally cast a dark shadow over the civil rights movement, which has inspired Sojourners and other movements for freedom and dignity around the world.
Will you stand with us and the great history of Dr. King? Will you give to Sojourners?
Early next week, pictures and updates from this weekends events will be posted on the Gods Politics blog.
Blessings for all your support!
Jim Wallis
President and CEO of Sojourners
Why does he remind me of Rasputin, the cunning "spiritual" advisor to the Czarina Alexandra.....an evil "holy man" who had her ear and was responsible in no small way for bringing the czarist empire crashing down in ruins around her and her family.

“But then my tinfoil hat might be slipping”
Then so is mine. I heard Beck say that on last night’s show and Alveda King said her family worries about her safety tomorrow. Hope all is well for everyone in attendance. Just a thought
So, we have heard from the Marxist non Christian Jim Wallis have we!
Do NOT support that man or the sojourners organization if you have any respect for the founders and the hope of this nation. NONE.
