Miller concerned Murkowski will 'pull an Al Franken'
The Hill ^ | 08/27/10 | Jordan Fabian

Joe Miller, the Republican candidate who is poised to knock off Sen. Lisa Murkowski (Alaska) in a primary contest, said Thursday he is concerned she will launch a protracted legal battle to save her seat.

Miller, an Iraq war veteran who received the backing of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R), emerged from the election Tuesday night with a narrow lead over Murkowski, an incumbent who assumed the seat from her father.

But officials are still counting absentee ballots in the close race and a lawyer for the GOP Senate campaign committee is heading to Alaska to assist the senator.

"We are looking right now to make sure that the election - that the votes - are accounted for fairly, without any type of game play," Miller said in an interview on Fox Business Network. "It concerns us any time somebody lawyers up and tries to pull an Al Franken, if you will. We are very concerned that there may be some attempt here to skew the results."

“...However I don’t think that Mr. Miller helps himself with these statements. He should have keep his concerns private while looking for help in making sure that the results are counted fairly. Invocating the name of Al Franken will...”

My friend, horsesh*t by any other name still smells like AL Franken.

You should ALWAYS call a turd a turd and let the cards fall where they may.

This is EXACTLY what is wrong with the GOP as far as I’m concerned...too afraid to “Offend” (Heaven forbid!) anyone.

Frankly, it’s perfectly damned OK to offend the offensive. And I can think of NOTHING more offensive than someone like Al Franken sitting in the US Senate, casting votes on socialist/communist-inspired legislative oppression that directly affects me, my family, you, your family, and everyone else in my Country.

It’s time to start calling these b*stards what they are, and putting the spotlight on them at EVERY opportunity.

Vote fraud, Democrats, and Al Franken should all be synonyms from now on.

I’m with Joe. It sure sounds like funny business is being brewed up for the count of the absentees.

That’s exactly what I told the RNC yesterday when they called for money.

I’ve given absolutely NOTHING to the GOP this year

Good for you! I hope you have stopped forever and will instead contribute directly to the candidates you like.

It is no more, or less, socially acceptable for commie Democrats and commie RINOs to corrupt our electoral processes, than it is for honest citizens to vote from the rooftops.

PING,

The NRSC is not going to motivate Tea Party members to join the fold by sticking their nose into a primary. If Miller loses now everyone will believe it was due to NRSC involvement.

“Is Murkowski, whom Sarah opposes, worse than McPain, whom Sarah endorses?”

McCain is pro-amnesty, pro-dem actions in most regards. Depending whether he is flip or flop at the time. I suspect he would switch parties if Republicans take the senate by 1 vote.

“Pull an Al Franken”

Oh, that’s wonderful. If ever a politician deserved to be verbed it’s that jackass.

Congratulations, you’ve made your mark, Al. Unfortunately for you, it’s a skid-mark.

Miller’s the new guy in town, the carpetbagger from out of state. He needs to be careful with the whining. It makes him look like a democrat.

Miller is only saying what common sense tells us.

I nearly became ill with visions of Franken, as soon as the close results were announced.

She is trying to get on the Libertarian ticket.

Do you have a link for that?

Seems to me if Miller somehow loses in the recount, he should run Libertarian. He’s much more of a Libertarian than Murkowski is.

It is past time for Liebertarians to run as who they are instead of using the GOP label. They are truly RINOs, a la Ron and Rand Paul.

Once again, can YOU provide a link a news story or report that backs up your claim that Murkowski plans to run as a Libertarian?

Once again, Redstate.com has a story on it. Look it up and read it. If that's not good enough for you, I really don't care.

Please, don't respond to me again!
