Turkey Building 10 Meter High Wall inside Jerusalem
Arutz Sheva ^ | 08/01/10 | Gil Ronen

Posted on 08/03/2010 8:12:55 AM PDT by george76

For no apparent reason, the Turkish government is building a 10 meter high wall along a section of the Old City wall in Jerusalem.

Aryeh King, Chairman of the Public Complaints Bureau in eastern Jerusalem...conjectured that the real motivation for the construction was a desire by the Turkish government to create facts on the ground in Jerusalem, and to exhibit independent action despite its status as a foreign government. He noted that the builders appear especially eager to complete the construction as fast as possible, and that to this end they have even been working on Friday, the Muslim sabbath.

Muslims have evidently decided to stick their thumb in the eye of everyone except Muslims. That strategy is going to leave them without a friend eventually.

They’re probably worried that Allenby is coming back.

No. That strategy is going to leave them all dead. Which is a good thing.

“That strategy is going to leave them without a friend eventually.”

They don’t want friends. They want submission.

BFD. They’re upgrading the wall around a walled cemetery. The wall serves no military purpose and despite the claims to the contrary in the article, it appears to have obtained all valid local permits. Why would Turkey build a cemetery wall in Israel? Because they’re trying to exercise more influence over the Palestinians, and flashing cash is one way to do that. But I’m really not reading anything more into this.

King inquired with the Jerusalem municipality in early July as to whether the construction has received all required permits. Informally, he was told that it has not. Formally, he has yet to receive an answer

I believe it should leave them inhabiting areas where their beliefs have been traditional. They do not belong in Europe or the U.S. Of course that’s only if Europe and the U.S. wish to preserve their own culture. If they don’t, then they are going about it the right way.

I'm looking forward to the dismemberment of the Turkish Moslem dictatorship and the end of the brutal Turkish occupation of Armenian and Kurdish lands -- as well as Constantinople. Thanks george76.
