Gunowners Celebrate New Gun Law(AZ)

GLENDALE - Second Amendment supporters were out celebrating Thursday night at an Arizona park, and guns were welcome.

The new law, which prevents Arizona cities from banning firearms in city parks, went into effect July 29.

The law also allows people to carry a concealed weapon without a permit. Arizona is now the third state, behind Alaska and Vermont, to allow concealed weapons without a permit.

Candidates for local offices showed up for the event.

"Today is a day we're celebrating the liberties that people lost and regained in the last legislative session," said Arizona State Senator Jack Harper.

Critics of the new law say it makes everyone less safe and makes any trip to the city park more dangerous.

There are a few exceptions to the law. Weapons cannot be carried into a bar or restaurant that serves alcohol. They also can't be carried into businesses that prohibit weapons.

LOL! A bunch of simpering ninnies who watch too much television. A lady at my church actually thanked me for carrying. Says it makes her feel safer.

That’s what I’m hoping for. I have a couple boxes of target rounds, and some Remington on order I found. Winchester’s backordered at least a Month.

Is it illegal to shoot armed invaders that come across the border with the intent on armed criminal activity?

Seems like you could easily be deputized.

Perhaps a citizen’s arrest.

The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. Everyone who is eligible should buy a gun and learn how to use it. If you already own a gun, buy another one and more ammunition.

* Time to go into that park where the foreign invader drug “lords” have taken over and do some midnight shooting practice.

Playing executioner is still illegal. If that's really want you want to do, what has stopped you up until this point? *

Probably no one would stop me. That's part of the problem.

Approx 20,000 people have been killed along the border because of the drug scum.

Armed foreign invaders have taken over a park in Arizona and set up camp to do illegal drug activity.

The Federal government does nothing, except sue Arizona for trying to protect it's own citizens.

I don't think the Feds are the slightest bit interested in who dies in Arizona. Their top priority is that no one would every have to go through the unspeakable horror of having to show their ID.*

*Now I don't know if I'll be able to sleep tonight. The image of a person subjected to having to show identification. *shudder* /sarq>

The Swiss have low crime rate:
http://bushcraftusa.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5830

In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun
control. From 1929 to 1953, about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend
themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Germany established gun control in 1938 and from 1939 to 1945, a total of 13 million Jews and others who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and
exterminated

China established gun control in 1935. From
1948 to 1952, 20 million political dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Guatemala established gun control in 1964. From 1964 to 1981, 100,000 Mayan Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Uganda established gun control in 1970. From
1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Cambodia established gun control in 1956.
From 1975 to 1977, one million ‘educated’ people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up an d exterminated.

Admiral Yamamoto who crafted the attack on Pearl Harbor had attended Harvard U 1919-1921 & was
Naval Attaché to the U. S. 1925-28. Most of our Navy was destroyed at Pearl Harbor & our Army had been deprived of funding & was ill prepared to defend the country.

It was reported that when asked why Japan did not follow up the Pearl Harbor attack with an invasion of the U. S. Mainland, his reply was that he had lived
in the U. S. & knew that almost all households had guns

I thank you for your good intent to educate me on this matter, however I don’t give a rats ass about pink guns.

My post was intended to provide a cynical chuckle, not discussion.

I’ll post a disclaimer to future postings should I dare attempt such humor again.

Has anyone else found it amusingly strange that the land of Ben and Jerry’s, the Soviet Socialists state of Vermont is so liberal on their gun policies?>>>>>>>>>>>>>><p.

Its expainable by the rural / urban demographic. The leftists who run Vermont politics live in the urban areas of
Rutland, Burlington, Montpelier and Brattleboro. The countryside is mostly conservative.

The country folk would carry their guns even if they were prohibited. The left refuses to have enough LEOs in the state to enforce the laws . I mean the State Police force is very small. So its both a question of a low statewide police presence and the gun culture of rural Vermont.Gun control laws would not be enforceable in the hinterlands. About 40% of Vermont lives in rural areas. And if one calls the state police in an rural area after 6 pm at night, it can take 3 hours for a State Officer to answer a call. Most rural towns do not have a police force. The people need their guns, and won’t give up their State Constitutional right to carry . And the left thinks the fewer LEOs the better. Also in Vermont many liberals also own firearms and are shooters.

So an accomodation has occurred.

A lot of private property owners restrict the carrying of weapons on their properties, this is allowed by law.

Most rural Vermonters pack a pistol or shot gun in their vehicles, regardless of whether they are liberal or conservative.

There are a few exceptions to the law. Weapons cannot be carried into a bar or restaurant that serves alcohol. They also can't be carried into businesses that prohibit weapons. So don't carry in a Costco. Or you might find yourself on the receiving end of the same treatment that fellow in Las Vegas received a few weeks back. What ever happened with that story? Notice it never made it to the Apparatchik Media.

It never made it to the Apparatchik media because it was an upstanding prior military officer just the type of person who dosen't fit their M.O.

Did you hear about the cop killed in chicago after completing a year tour in iraq? By the law of transitive properties that would mean Chicago is more dangerous than Iraq.

Arizona would have an incredibly low crime rate if it weren’t for the massive influx of gangsters move freely across the border. Now they will hopefully think twice before attacking Arizona citizens in public.

I’m pretty sure the red and yellow states have the highest violent crime rates in the country.

And more corrupt.
