That’s what we were taught.
“Officer, I have a concealed carry permit and I’m currently armed with X located X. Do you have any instructions for me?”
This usually diffuses the situation especially if you are in a car.

I got pulled over here in SC a while back while carrying. I put my hands outside the car as he approached and informed him that I had a CCP and I was carrying. He asked me where I had the gun and that was it. No problem.

...yep...and if it’s night time you turn on all the interior lights and place both hands up on the steering wheel where he can see ‘em....he’ll take over from there.

You ca also hand him you Concealed carry permit along with your drivers license, that works. Often they say nothing, do not mention the gun, if its a traffic stop.
And believe me, many appreciate you being around if the shite goes down, and they are alone, especially if if there is a crowd of perps. But they have to ask you for help, remember that.

Why bother even bringing it up for a traffic stop?
Absolutely no need unless you get out of the car.
(no need to inform in PA)

Here in Nevada you can legally have a loaded handgun in your car and are under no obligation to inform the cop that you have a weapon.

.....except for those times when it just escalates the situation a hundred fold.
