New federal regulations issued this week stipulate that the electronic health records--that all Americans are supposed to have by 2014 under the terms of the stimulus law that President Barack Obama signed last year--must record not only the traditional measures of height and weight, but also the Body Mass Index: a measure of obesity.
The obesity-rating regulation states that every American's electronic health record must: Calculate body mass index. Automatically calculate and display body mass index (BMI) based on a patients height and weight.
The law also requires that these electronic health records be available--with appropriate security measures--on a national exchange.

You first, Michelle.
I have talked to some of these ‘free ride’ Dems. They are getting very nervous. They suspect the Medicaid rationing may start with them. Hmm. I wonder what was their first clue? ;)
"The rules and laws are not for us --- you stupid, docile fools.
For us, its only your money for nothing
and your children to serve ACORN and our brothels for free."
They ought to be extremely nervous! Too bad eh?
The only solace we can take at this point in time, is in watchng them squirm.
Yes, there is some satisfaction in that. I wonder where these people are even getting their information. Most of the gimme people I know [crazy checks, medicaid, etc.] don’t even have computers; the TV and VCR are enough for them. Yet when it comes to Obamahcare, they seem all too aware of the jeopardy they’re suddenly in. Must be a ‘free ride’ grapevine I know nothing about.
Lucky you. Some of us don’t enjoy such health.
That picture is so full of unbridled evil it’s breathtaking. I wouldn’t want to be in any of their shoes when it’s judgement day...which by the way is on its way.
LOL a “free ride grapevine” that’s pretty good.
Maybe their doctors are informing them. You know it seems..(not all) that these people that have a free ride seem hooked on going to the doctor to begin with.
You obviously know them well. They LIVE to go to the doctor [and eat and watch TV]. It almost seems as if it’s their whole life. It’s all they talk about, when you ask them how they’re doing. It’s a time, I guess, when they’re the center of attention, and seem important. What a sad, dismal thing welfare reduces them to.
You could be right. I wouldn’t be a bit surprised if their drs aren’t giving them the skivvy where Obamacare is concerned. How sweet that would be, and in its own little way, how ironic. :)
May be related to why Kagan would not answer --does the government has a right to tell you what to eat?
They will now have all of our financial transactions with the new reform bill, in addition to medical records. Why do they need all this personal data --Not good.

Thanks pissant.
Backlash?
We are passive slaves.
There will be no backlash.
King George had nothing on our current rulers.
If there was going to be a backlash it would have happened already.
Because of the failure of Americans to fight back we can look forward to decades of stagnation and suffering.
This is just the beginning.
No privacy, no confidence, no paycheck to call your own, no freedom for your children, etc. All the while life just gets cheaper, and cheaper.
Nothing but constant worry about what your government will do for you, against you, to you.
I hope FReepers are preparing for the utter nightmare that is heading our way.
Well, I have a rather fat head.
Will that scew my numbers?
Well then, what’s the point of voting ? Should we just give up? As they say where I was raised “Cain’t never could!”
(misspelling for Texas accent intentional)
I reckon I’m headed to a weight loss concentration camp then.
