Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) says in a forthcoming article that the tea party movement is unsustainable and will die out because it lacks vision.
Graham made the comments to The New York Times as part of a profile in Sundays magazine written by Robert Draper.
Graham argues throughout the story that the Republican Party will eventually move away from the fringe and join him closer to the political middle but that, for now, it has shifted too far to the right.
Everything Im doing now in terms of talking about climate, talking about immigration, talking about Gitmo is completely opposite of where the tea party movements at, Graham says. The problem with the tea party, I think, is its just unsustainable because they can never come up with a coherent vision for governing the country. It will die out.

Exactly.
There is a lot of talk about how Democrats ‘don’t get it’ but a lot of Republicans don’t get it either.
You can say that again.
I think, is its just unsustainable because they can never come up with a coherent vision for governing the country
Smaller government, less spending, and only one senator from South Carolina (or just a new one) would be a start.
LINDSEY MUST GO
LINDSEY MUST GO
Ya think? Just wait until election 2012 and 2014. Little Lindsey-poo might be surprised.
Lacks vision? BS! The vision is clearly laid out in the Constitution.
Lindsey Graham can go to heLL.
He voted for TARP.
His worst nightmare is the Tea Party.
Too bad he’s not up in 2012.
Graham is speaking for two.
Himself and McCain.
But, But Lindsey Graham was a JAG OFF icer. The Tea Party will focus on YOU in 2014
Blowing bubbles, wishing and hoping ...
RINO season is still open......
Grahamnesty is right about one thing...everything he does/believes is EXACTLY opposite to what tea party members believe. Which is why little Miss Lindsey should join the democrat party as soon as possible.
Agree and add the Maine Sisters to that list. What the hell is wrong with these Repubicans in South Carolina and Maine?
McCain needs to lose to send these idiots a shock message.
And so will you eventually Lindsay. So what’s your point?
Lindsey,,,wish in one hand sh-t in the other, see which one fills up first.
And Lindsey mini mind Graham has vision?
Will the good people of South Carolina please do us all a favor and get rid of this dbag at the next republican primary.
Lindsey is a relic of the past. If he’s lucky he won’t be one of the ones held accountable.
I wish I couldn't vote for him.
