The federal government is shutting down the dredging that was being done to create protective sand berms in the Gulf of Mexico.
The berms are meant to protect the Louisiana coastline from oil. But the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Department has concerns about where the dredging is being done.
Plaquemines Parish President Billy Nungesser, who was one of the most vocal advocates of the dredging plan, has sent a letter to President Barack Obama, pleading for the work to continue.

Obama is hell bent on destroying the Gulf Coast, we might as well face it. States should tell the Feds to get out .
I’ll have to remember that tidbit about ‘tarballs degrading in the sand’.
Apparently, these things have a very short lifetime once the material is absorbed down into the sand.
But, then it will be argued that the material is just sitting below the surface - which is natural anyway depending on what part of hte Gulf coast you grew up on.
I’ll go do some more digging on that one.

The LA Gov should grow a backbone and tell Obama to shove it.
I honestly think obama wants to get just enough people in Arizona and the gulf states mad enough, that they take action on there own...........it is the crisis he wants,so he can declare a National Emergency and Martial law.

If you look at what this administration and the Democrat Congress do and assume they are trying to do what is best for America it makes no sense. However, if you assume they are trying to destroy America then everything makes perfect sense.

Just keep dredging. Have the State Police guard the dredges and dare the feds to try to stop it by force.
