Obama doesn’t take criticism well, constructive or otherwise.
And I really don’t think McC’s criticisms were constructive.

If he retires or resigns, I hope he runs for the senate. We could use a few more honorable people in the senate.

What do you think about this?
I find it kind of refreshing that such an intelligent disciplined man has apparently simply "HAD IT" with the COC.

0bongo uses the Constitution as a doormat and breaks all decent customs and rules. So if McChrystal plays the freelancer that’s fine by me
What a clown—0bongo was just on the tube wearing his Nike cap at a baseball game. McChrystal can play 0bama any way he wants. It’s not insubordination because 0bama commands no respect

Men like McChrystal do not make mistakes of that magnitude. There is no question that he planned to use the Rolling Stone article as an push for a change of attitude from the civilians controlling the military and a resignation letter.

Looks like a good article but I'm not signing up to read it.
General Stanley McChrystal, commander of US and Nato forces in Afghanistan, has a reputation as the most disciplined soldier of his generation, and one of the brightest. The asceticism of his daily life, to keep himself ready for any threat, is now legendary: an eight-mile run, only one meal and just four hours sleep. It is understandable, then, that yesterdays revelations stunned Washington and Kabul. The general had so far forgotten the cost of careless talk that he had griped about the President and senior White House officials to a freelance reporter from Rolling Stone magazine, and over the course of some days, allowed his aides to do so too.
Something is seriously amiss here.

Praise God for this courageous man.
When I say to the wicked, ‘O wicked man, you will
surely die,’ and you do not speak to warn the wicked
from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity,
but his blood I will require from your hand.

General,
this too, must come to pass.
Woe is me!for I am as when they have gathered the summer fruits,
as the grapegleanings of the vintage: there is no cluster to eat: my soul desired the firstripe fruit.
The good man is perished out of the earth:and there is none upright among men:they all lie in wait for blood;
they hunt every man his brother with a net. That they may do evil with both hands earnestly, the prince asketh, and the judge asketh for a reward;
and the great man, he uttereth his mischievous desire:
The best of them is as a brier:the most upright is sharper than a thorn hedge:the day of thy watchmen and thy visitation cometh;now shall be their perplexity.
Trust ye not in a friend,put ye not confidence in a guide:keep the doors of thy mouth from her that lieth in thy bosom.For the son dishonoureth the father,
the daughter riseth up against her mother,
the daughter in law against her mother in law; a man's enemies are the men of his own house.
Therefore I will look unto the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation:
God bless you, General McChrystal

When you look at McChrystal (whose job is to direct armed forces charged with protecting the United States and its interests) and Obama (whose job is to faithfully execute the laws of the United States, defend the Constitution, and to protect the nation against its enemies both foreign and domestic) and the objectives of their missions, who is more egregiously failing in his job?

General McChrystal and his men and their kin have had it up to the eye-balls with the politicians and their Rules of Engagement. Those rules have killed more of our Treasure than can be imagined. McCain, who was truly tortured has turned all forgiving and righteous about what is torture leaving those on the field of battle to die needlessly because of his meltdown. Other arm chair Kum-by-ya Washington clueless have put restraints on our warriors that get them wounded or killed with regularity. I suspect a man like McChrystal, a man willing to lay down his life for his country rather than the Washington Vote....I suspect this courageous man is trying to save the lives of his men.
(Rules of Engagement USA)
I heard one of our educated Obama people declare that the enemies ROE were part of the Geneva Convention...............

Maybe he’s another in a long list of generals who have gotten pissed off that the administration is not letting them do the job. Why else have we seen so many “assigned” to solve the Afghan crisis?
I say it’s about time to say the hell with it and let’s get out of Afghan. Seems THEY don’t really want to fix their own problems. Let the middle east solve the middle east problems.

Do you think McCrystal just may have done this on Purpose? Maybe he wanted to turn in his resignation so Obozo would have no choice but to replace him, and knowing who would be at the top of the list but General P, who now Obozo owes big time, so now there might actually be a resolution instead of Obazo pulling our troops out in 2011. Maybe now the job can get done and Obozo will actually have to give General Petraes what ever the General wants.
