Eight days ago, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal ordered barges to begin vacuuming crude oil out of his state's oil-soaked waters. Today, against the governor's wishes, those barges sat idle, even as more oil flowed toward the Louisiana shore.
Towns along the coast are through waiting for the government?s help. "It's the most frustrating thing," the Republican governor said today in Buras, La. "Literally, yesterday morning we found out that they were halting all of these barges."
Sixteen barges sat stationary today, although they were sucking up thousands of gallons of BP's oil as recently as Tuesday. Workers in hazmat suits and gas masks pumped the oil out of the Louisiana waters and into steel tanks. It was a homegrown idea that seemed to be effective at collecting the thick gunk.
"These barges work. You've seen them work. You've seen them suck oil out of the water," said Jindal.

I hate to promote conspiracy theories, but the administration's response to this make no sense otherwise.
How long does it take to get fire extinguishers, The coast guard probably has few hundred extra they could loan out to keep the operation going.

Okay, so the Coast Guard wanted to confirm the barges had fire extinguishers and enough life vests.
I have to admit, it would have been a big PR victory for the Left if someone had died on-board one of the barges ordered by Gov. Jindal, but I think that there could have been a better way to implement the inspections.

It looks like they have been allowed to process. I don’t fault the coast guard, they are taking orders from Obama.
Obastard doesn’t want the oil sucked up. He WANTS in on the sands of the Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida beaches so that he can generate more hatred towards BP.
It has come to the point that I want to run ever car I see with an Obama sticker off the road.
